Biography

Reiter joined the University of Michigan coaching staff in 2023, working primarily with the team's goaltenders. In his first season with the Wolverines, in 2023-24, the program reached the Big Ten Tournament Championship and the Frozen Four. Goaltender Jake Barczewski set a personal record with 20 wins during the 2023-24 campaign. He was the NCAA active leader in saves during the season, finishing his career with 3,730 saves. Barczewski was named to the NCAA All-Region team after a 62-save performance in wins over No. 5 North Dakota and No. 4 Michigan State. The 2025-26 season culminated in another Frozen Four after winning the Big Ten Tournament Championship. The No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Wolverines were ranked No. 1 in the nation for 15 weeks during the regular season including an 11-week streak. That 11-week run was the program's longest atop the polls since the 1996-97 team was ranked first from mid-November through the season's end. During the season,the Wolverines to five road sweeps, the most in a single season in program history. The winningest team in the NCAA this season, the squad had 31 victories - a 13-win improvement from last season. The Wolverines were picked to finish fourth in the Big Ten and began the season ranked No. 12. Netminder Jack Ivankovic was named the NCAA Albany Regional MVP after earning a place on the Big Ten All-Tournament Team. Ivankovic posted a 25-8-1 record during the season with a .921 save percentage. Backup netminde
