Mauro Fuzetti

Biography

Mauro Fuzetti was hired as the volunteer assistant coach for the 2022 season and was eleveated to an assitant coach for the 2023 season. Fuzetti is a former Michigan standout from 2006-09 and spent one season as a graduate assistant coach in 2010. He became the fifth Wolverine to be drafted to the MLS as he was the 41st overall pick in the 2010 Major League Soccer SuperDraft to the Kansas City Wizards. In his four year career at Michigan, Fuzetti earned numerous accolades as he is a two-time first team All-Big Ten selection and an adidas/NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region selection. He was named to College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer.com National Teams of the Week and was honorable mention on the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Year for his play during his senior campaign. Fuzetti put together one of Michigan's finest offensive careers during his four-year stint with the program. He ranks fourth all-time in Michigan history with 61 career points and seventh with 23 career goals. During his senior season, he moved into first place all-time in shots attempted (186) and also set several single-season records with 68 shots attempted and 4.00 shots per game. Additionally, Fuzetti set the single-game record for shots with 11 in Michigan's 3-0 win over Wright State in the Michigan Invitational.
