Jennifer Klein wrapped up her eighth season as the head coach of the University of Michigan women’s soccer program in 2025. She improved her career record to 91-76-25, including a 72-58-21 mark at U-M where she has led the Wolverines to three NCAA Tournament berths and the 2021 Big Ten Tournament title. Klein was announced as the third head coach in women's soccer program history on February 28, 2018. Coach Klein’s Wolverines have earned 40 All-Big Ten awards, 120 Academic All-Big Ten citations and 39 Big Ten Distinguished honors. Klein graduated her 11th and 12th professional soccer players in 2025 with Avery Kalitta and Stephanie Sparkowski signing contracts with Louisville Racing and the Chicago Stars, respectively. For U-M, the 2025 season was highlighted by senior captain Jenna Lang’s Third-Team All-Big Ten campaign which helped the Wolverines to a 3-4-4 conference record and a 6-8-4 mark overall. The Wolverines’ saw significant improvement logging their best Big Ten win percentage in four years and earning two top 25 ties against No. 22 Ohio State and No. 10 Iowa. Michigan returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2023, going 7-7-4 overall and 3-5-2 during the Big Ten season. Michigan was stout on the defensive end during the 2023 campaign, holding its opponents scoreless for 431 minutes, starting in the second half against Pepperdine on Aug. 19 and concluding at the 37:31 mark against Western Michigan on Sept. 10 -- a span of 23 calendar days. Director of Operations
Elizabeth Linkous was named Director of Operations for Michigan Women's Soccer in February 2024. As Director of Operations she is responsible for managing multiple phases of the program including administrative tasks, team travel logistics, and special projects. Linkous has served as the Michigan Women's Soccer Camp Administrator since 2021. In that role she handles all aspects of camp registration and is the first point of contact for campers and their families. Linkous brings a wealth of college athletics, camp, and university knowledge to the Michigan Women's Soccer program. She got her start in college athletics as an undergrad, working as an Operations Intern for the University of Notre Dame Women's Basketball team. Upon graduation, she worked in the Notre Dame Summer Sports Camps Office and then as an Assistant Basketball Coach at NCAA Division III Earlham College. After completing graduate school, Linkous did a two year stint as Basketball Operations Assistant for the WNBA's Indiana Fever and then served four seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations for the UNLV Women's Basketball team. Linkous then transitioned into athletic academic advising at UNLV, which parlayed into several academic advising roles at both Washington State University and the University of Southern California.
