Drew Clinton began his current career in 2005 as senior academic counselor for women's basketball, softball and volleyball. After adding women's soccer, men's basketball, books/supplies and tutor coordinator duties to his list of responsibilities, Clinton was promoted in 2008 to assistant director, again in 2012 to associate director, again in 2017 to Assistant AD of Academic Services and finally to his current title of Associate AD of Academic Services in 2021. He is now responsible for the academic needs of men's basketball and rifle, in addition to overseeing the academic counseling side of Student-Athlete Development. He was the 2011 recipient of the Excellence in Advising award, which is presented annually to a University of Mississippi professional staff member in recognition of outstanding academic advising. Prior to his move into academic counseling, Clinton served as an assistant women's basketball coach at Middle Tennessee State University for two seasons. While in Murfreesboro, Clinton helped guide the Lady Raiders to consecutive NCAA Tournament bids and two Sun Belt Conference Tournament titles. Before working at MT, Clinton worked three seasons with the Ole Miss women's basketball team, spending the final year as the director of basketball operations for the Rebels under former head coach Ron Aldy. Clinton got his start in athletics as sports manager for the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) at its national headquarters in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. For three years, h

Coleman attended the University of West Alabama from 2000-2004 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. In 2004, Coleman received the Horace C. Hunt Award for the student athletic trainer of the year. A native of Newton, Mississippi and a graduate of Newton High School, Coleman resides in Oxford with his wife Molly and their son Landon.
