Alison Mosel

Biography

Alison Mosel came to Mizzou in the Fall 2012 to serve as the athletic trainer for women's basketball. She was promoted to a senior associate director of sports medicine role in fall 2021 and will continue her work with the Tigers women's basketball squad. She has over 18 years of experience working with both men’s and women’s basketball athletes at the collegiate level. Collectively, the majority of her working experience has been in NCAA Division I women’s basketball with stops at Mizzou, Creighton and Wyoming. Prior to working in Division I women’s hoops, Mosel spent five years at Buena Vista University (Storm Lake, Iowa) where she oversaw the primary coverage of the volleyball, men's basketball, baseball and softball teams. Alison has had a constant presence in the overall education of student athletic trainers as she was a full time faculty member early in her career at Buena Vista. She has continued serving as a clinical preceptor at every institution of employment, along with teaching adjunct classes as needed. Alison was awarded the Preceptor of the Year award in 2019 by the Missouri Athletic Training Program as chosen by the program’s students and faculty members. Alison is very proud to be a part of the educational path and development that all student athletic trainers and student-athletes choose for their personal and professional lives.
