Dani Nicosia

Biography

Dani Nicosia has been hired as UNC Asheville's Assistant Athletic Director for Digital and Creative Branding. She comes to Asheville after two-plus years at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she served as Assistant Athletic Director for Digital and Creative Media, overseeing the athletic department's digital brand, digital content and social media. During her time at LR, she helped the Bears' social media following grow 125% in three years and video content viewership grow 100% in three years. Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, she was Communications Coordinator at Charlotte Country Day School. She got her start in athletics at her alma mater, Queens University of Charlotte, first as a marketing intern and then a graduate assistant in athletic marketing. While in undergrad at Queens, she was a Division II women's soccer student-athlete. She earned her master's degree in communication from Queens in 2019 and her bachelor's of science in sport management from Queens in 2017.
