Lisa Ebeling

Biography

Northern Colorado named Lisa Ebeling the head coach of the women’s swimming and diving program in August of 2016. Since coming to UNC she has helped push the program to the top half of the WAC. Ebeling and her team made history in the 2021-22 season, with broken records, wins, and swimmer accolades. They earned three straight WAC dual victories and took down Wyoming for only the second time in program history. They ended the season with an overall record of 9-1 and earned third place at the WAC Championships with the most points in program history, 530.5. At the Championships, the Bears totaled four gold medals, three silver, six bronze, and seven school records. Swimmers Madelyn Moore and Katelyn Bergin also received WAC Swimmer of the Week Honors throughout the season, with Moore also securing WAC Swimmer of the Year for the second consecutive year. The 2020-21 season also proved to be successful for Ebeling and the Bears as they went on to finish their season with an overall record of 9-1. They also moved up in the WAC standings, tabbing a third place finish at the WAC Championships. Madelyn was also named the WAC Swimmer of the Year. During the season, the program also earned a spot on the Mid-Major Top-25 Ranking for the first time in history, coming in a No. 22. In 2019-20, Ebeling helped the Bears to 76 lifetime best swims, 35 times the top-10 of program history, three All-WAC First Team members and six All-WAC Second Team members.
