Head Volleyball Coach
Glenn Cox begins his 18th season in charge of the USC Aiken volleyball program. In 17 seasons under Cox, the Pacers have compiled a record of 324-176. Prior to joining USC Aiken, Cox had spent the previous six seasons as the head coach at the Savannah College of Art & Design, an NAIA institution in Savannah, Ga. In his six seasons at SCAD, Cox led the Bees to a 141-82 overall record. In his final four seasons, his teams won four-straight Florida Sun Conference championships, won four-straight NAIA Region XIV titles and advanced to the NAIA National Volleyball Championships in Columbia, Mo., four times. Prior to his time at SCAD, Cox served as the head volleyball coach at Athens Academy in Athens, Ga. His teams won back-to-back undefeated region championships and held an overall record of 69-27 (.719). Before becoming a head coach, Cox served two seasons as an assistant coach at Valdosta State University, an NCAA Division II institution in Valdosta, Ga. Cox had a successful career as a professional beach volleyball player, recording 43 open victories while competing on several national tours. He was a member of the NCAA Division I defending national championship 1992 Long Beach State volleyball team. In 1991, Cox was a member of the prestigious Olympic Festival team. He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 1994 and received a master's degree in health and kinesiology in 2000 from Valdosta State University. Kelsey Yarbrough is in her third year as an assistant coach at USC Aiken. Last season, Yarbrough coached the PBC Libero of the Year, alongside an all-conference honoree while guiding the team to the NCAA Tournament. During her first year with the team, she helped the program reach the NCAA Tournament while coaching two all-conference performers. Yarbrough was a standout student-athlete for USC Aiken from 2016-2019. She was part of the program's first-ever Elite Eight (2016) as well as the school's longest winning streak for any sport (2017 - 21 matches) and the school's best start to a season by any sport (2019 - 16 wins). During her career, Yarbrough was limited in action due to injuries but continued to thrive both on and off the court. Yarbrough saw time in 59 matches during her career. As a senior, she hit .429 in the win over Flagler. Yarbrough tallied double-doubles in wins over UNC Pembroke (16 digs, 10 kills) and Lincoln Memorial (14 digs, 10 kills). A two-time PBC Elite 15 award winner, Yarbrough also garnered all-academic team honors twice and academic all-district accolades once. During her career, she was named the Outstanding Senior Student (2020), the Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2019-20) and the Outstanding Student in Secondary Education (2018-19).
