Biography

Alexis Ruiz graduated from Carle Place High School in 2019. She played five years with the Long Island University field hockey team from 2019 to 2023, earning the honor of team captain in her final year. Since September 2020, she has been a Field Hockey Personal Trainer on Long Island and served as a coach for the Lasting Legacy field hockey Club program in Bethpage, New York, from September 2020 to December 2022. Currently, she coaches for the Dynasty Field Hockey Club program in Carle Place, a position she began in November 2023. This is Ruiz's first season with the Spartans. She earned a bachelor's degree in speech and language pathology and is now pursuing a Master's in Inclusive Education.
