Zeigler comes to Winston-Salem following three years at Georgia State University, where he worked as an athletic trainer for the Panthers' men's basketball and women's golf programs. During his time in Atlanta, Zeigler took on several duties, including acting as a coordinator of pre-participation physicals for all Georgia State student-athletes each semester, completing successful rehabilitation periods for various athletes, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with injury maintenance programs and operating The Athletic Trainer System (ATS). From February 2021 to May 2022, Zeigler served as an athletic trainer and insurance coordinator for Western Carolina University, working with the men's basketball team. In addition to his daily guidance with the Catamounts' teams, he oversaw medical insurance of all student-athletes and processed medical claims. Zeigler also worked as an adjunct professor to provide athletic training courses and a primary instructor of other health and fitness courses. Zeigler got his start in collegiate athletics as a graduate assistant in athletic training at Mercer University from June 2019 to January 2021. Starke’s efforts in the weight room and beyond helped build the program back to a top 50 program in college basketball, finishing at 42 in the NET rankings for the 2021-2022 season. In his second season at Wake Forest, the Demon Deacons finished with 25 wins, the most since the 2004-05 season, and 18 home wins, the most in program history. Starke prepared multiple individual players to have personal-best seasons in multiple areas. This past 2023-24 season saw him coach All-ACC first teamer Hunter Sallis, who had a breakout year, and first with the Deacs, to up his numbers to a team-best 18.0 points per game while shooting 48.7 percent fro the field, 40.5 percent from three-point territory and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line. Czarda came to Wake Forest from UNCG, where he served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Strategic Communications from 2018-19. He previously was with the Washington Commanders from 2013-18 serving in four different roles including Managing Editor. He will also work directly with basketball student-athlete agent representatives.
