Wentworth Institute of Technology Women's Cross Country

Emily Gustavson begins her fourth season as Wentworth’s Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Teams in 2025-2026. In 2024-2025, Gustavson oversaw two All-Conference runners on the men’s cross country squad including Conference of New England (formerly Commonwealth Coast Conference) Rookie of the Year Ezra Blasko who was named a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree and claimed the Black & Gold’s first-ever league rookie of the year honor. On the track, Gustavson guided the women’s team through a much-improved season that included a 15-point increase in the conference championship meet and the Leopards’ first-ever All-New England honoree in Laci Santos. On the men’s side, Nathaniel Smith claimed CNE Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors while eight others were named All-CNE and two were named All-New England. Gustavson’s second year at the helm in 2023-2024 was highlighted by the debut of Wentworth’s 18th and 19th varsity sports, women’s indoor and outdoor track & Field. In the fall’s men’s cross country season, she coached a repeat All-CCC honoree in sophomore Ryan Ballard. On the men’s side, the Leopards’ outdoor track and field team had 15 All-Conference honorees, leading Wentworth to a second-place finish in the conference, while sophomore Fabrice Fouron (indoor and outdoor) and senior Eli Sleasman (indoor) earned All-Region recognition.
