Kirsten Moore

Biography

Kirsten Moore is in her 21st season as head coach of the Westmont Warriors women's basketball program, entering 2025-26 with a record of 452-159 (.740). Moore came to Westmont in summer 2005 from UC Berkeley, where she served as an assistant women's basketball coach for four years. Initially a walk-on at the University of Oregon, Moore earned a full scholarship and became team captain, graduating in 1998. She served as an assistant coach at Oregon for three years, where the program won two PAC-10 championships and made three NCAA Tournament trips. As a player, Moore participated in four NCAA Tournaments and was selected as the 1998 Bev Smith Most Inspirational Player. Moore has led Westmont to two NAIA National Championships (2012-13, 2020-21) and was named NAIA Coach of the Year twice. Her teams have appeared in four national semifinals, won six GSAC regular season championships and six GSAC Tournament titles. She has coached 30 of the program's 34 All-Americans and 25 of 31 GSAC Scholar-Athletes. Moore earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon in 1998 and an MBA in 2001 with concentration in marketing and sports business. She was honored with the NAIA Coach of Character Award in 2019 and inducted into the Santa Barbara Basketball Court of Champions in 2014. Moore also serves as Associate Athletic Director and is the mother of Alexis, born in 2012.
