Team Coordinator, and the NCAA/CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator. She also taught a freshman student-athlete transition course. Xavier placed second at the BIG EAST Championships on April 28, the highest finish for the Musketeers at the BIG EAST Championships since 2016 (also finished second). Xavier won the Xavier Invitational and the Wexford Intercollegiate during the 2024-25 season, the first team titles for the Musketeers since 2016 (won the Pinehurst Intercollegiate). Off the course, the Musketeers earned the 2023-24 GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award with a 3.69 team grade point average. Carson Bellish, Zach Burton, Justin Gabbard and Oscar Zimmerman were all named NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars. Bellish was also named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District® Team. Harmon Family Vice President and Director of Athletics
Greg Christopher took on an expanded set of responsibilities in 2023, assuming the role of Xavier University's Vice President for Institutional Strategy and Director of Athletics after five years as Vice President for Administration and Director of Athletics. In this new role, Christopher is focused on Xavier's positioning, as XU continues on its path of institutional and strategic advancement. He will continue to serve on the president's leadership cabinet and oversee Intercollegiate Athletics. Thanks to a generous endowment, Christopher's position title changed to Harmon Family Vice President and Director of Athletics in November. The NCAA Board of Governors appointed Christopher to the Constitution Committee in 2021, which led to his current work on the Transformation Committee. Christopher, who has served as Director of Athletics since May of 2013, took over as AD as Xavier was preparing for its first season in the BIG EAST Conference. He oversees Xavier's 19 intercollegiate athletic programs and 300 student-athletes. Under his guidance, Xavier Athletics has won 29 BIG EAST Conference team titles, including tournament and regular season championships, in XU's first 12 years in the conference. Smith came to Xavier from Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kansas, where she was a foundational piece to the creation of the women’s soccer program. In the team’s inaugural season, Smith helped lead the Gorillas to an overall record of 8-8-2. Smith has also served as head coach of the newly founded Marshall Islands Women’s National Team since May 2024, with the team set to have its first fixture in 2025. Smith joined Pittsburg State from Arkansas State, where was an assistant coach for the Red Wolves in 2023. Prior to her time at Arkansas State, Smith served as an assistant coach at Northwest Mississippi Community College during the 2022 season, helping lead the program to a final four appearance at the NJCAA national tournament. Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Resources and SWA
Susan Cross Lipnickey joined Xavier as its new Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Welfare and Senior Woman Administrator in 2014. She was promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Resources and SWA in July of 2022. Lipnickey came to Xavier from nearby Miami University, where she served in multiple roles on and off campus. Lipnickey, an Associate Professor in Miami's Department of Kinesiology and Health, has served as the school's NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative since 1999. Lipnickey, a native of Walpole, Massachusetts, moved to Oxford, Ohio, in 1978 to begin her Miami teaching career. Outside of her Miami duties, Lipnickey has been a practicing attorney since 1991. Nationally, she is involved at the NCAA level, serving on the Division I Infractions Appeals Committee since 2006 and the Division I Leadership Council since 2008. Lipnickey is a Slippery Rock graduate, with a master's degree from Purdue University, a Ph.D. from Ohio State and J.D. from Northern Kentucky.

Tarvish Felton enters his fourth season as an assistant coach under Richard Pitino and his first as a Xavier Assistant Coach. Felton was at New Mexico for three seasons with Pitino (2022-25) after spending the previous four seasons at Fresno State, the last two as associate head coach. Felton has over 25 years of coaching experience. Prior to his tenure at Fresno State, he spent 10 seasons as an assistant coach at Utah State as the Aggies transitioned from the WAC to the Mountain West. He also spent time on the staffs of Southern Utah, Sacramento State, Cal State Los Angeles, along with four years as the first ever head coach at Texas A&M-International. Last season Felton helped guide the Lobos to a 27-8 overall record and the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament with a first-round win over Marquette. New Mexico posted a 17-3 league record and won the 2024-25 Mountain West Conference Regular Season Championship. The 2024-25 Lobos were led by three All-Mountain West honorees, including 2024-25 Mountain West Player of the Year Donovan Dent. In the 2023-24 season, Felton helped guide New Mexico to a 26-10 record, winning the Mountain West Championship and returning to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014. The Lobos downed Air Force, and three NCAA Tournament teams, Boise State, Colorado State and San Diego State, on consecutive days in Las Vegas to become the first team in Mountain West history to win the conference tournament by winning four games. Associate Athletics Director for Communications (MBB)
Tom Eiser, Xavier University Associate Athletics Director for Communications, is in his 40th year directing the Athletic Communications Office, which handles communications, media relations, web site, social media, publicity, publications, record-keeping and research for his alma mater's 19 NCAA Division I sports. In addition to his Xavier duties, Eiser serves on the BIG EAST Conference Academic Affairs Committee. Eiser, who was honored with the Sports Executive Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cincinnati Sports Professional Network in 2015, began his professional career in sports information as Assistant SID in the 1985-86 school year at the University of Detroit. He was a student assistant SID at Xavier as an undergraduate from 1980-84, serving four years as the school's first-ever women's basketball SID. A big part of the focus of Eiser's attention currently is the nationally-ranked men's basketball program. He's enjoyed promoting XU basketball during 27 of its 30 all-time NCAA appearances, while assisting the host sites of numerous men's and women's basketball tournaments, including several Final Fours. Eiser's 2019-20 men's basketball media guide was voted "Second-Best in the Nation" by CoSIDA, the fifth time in 10 years that the Xavier men's basketball guide has been ranked among the top three in the country.
