Lea Sedwick Caffey

Biography

Lea Sedwick joined the Baylor soccer staff in December of 2021 and will serve as assistant coach for the Bears. She came from Dallas Baptist University where she spent the last six years on staff. In her second year with the Bears, she helped Baylor double its win totals from the 2022 season and helped lead BU back to the Big 12 Championship. She worked with the Bears on offense and set pieces. Sedwick-Caffey helped the Bears outscore opponents 33-26 on the season. In her first year with the Bears, Sedwick-Caffey helped lead the Bears to wins over Florida, Houston, Kansas and Iowa State with developing the team into a different playing style. She helped the student-athletes compete at the highest level and deliver results on and off the pitch. After playing soccer for Dallas Baptist University for the 2011-2014 seasons, Sedwick joined the coaching staff where she was most recently the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
