Head Soccer Coach
Baylor Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades announced the hiring of Michelle Lenard as the sixth head coach in Baylor soccer history on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. In her second season with the Bears, Lenard more than doubled Baylor's win totals and goal totals from the previous season and got the Bears back to the Big 12 Championship after missing the tournament in 2022. Under her direction the Bears' offense produced 33 total goals on the season, with 33 assists. Ten players for BU played in all 19 games and Baylor is returning 19 of the 23 total Letterwinners from the 2023 squad. Five of baylor's nine wins came against conference opponents, as BU went 4-2-1 in its non-conference slate that included a 7-0 victory over Abilene Christian. Assistant Coach
Cameron Carter joined the Baylor soccer program in January of 2022 and will serve as an assistant coach and goalkeepers coach. She comes to Baylor from UTSA where she spent four seasons. During her second year as the goalkeepers coach for the Bears, Carter helped BU secure seven shutout victories. She helped develop two student-athletes who split time in goal during the 2023 campaign. She helped the Bears pick up nine wins on the season. Working primarily with the goalkeepers during the 2022 season, Carter helped the team to four wins while developing the Bears four goalkeepers. Following the 2022 season, Carter was promoted from volunteer coach to assistant coach and will serve in that role for the 2023 season. Carter joined the UTSA coaching staff in 2018 and assisted in all aspects of the program, while focusing on the development of the Roadrunners' goalkeepers.

Assistant Coach
Cole Ouren joined the Baylor soccer staff in January of 2022 and will serve as assistant coach. In addition to recruiting, Ouren will help oversee match and video analysis in addition to individual player development. He comes to Baylor from Central Christian where he served as the head women's soccer coach in 2021 and 2022. During his second year as assistant coach for the Bears, Ouren helped develop the young team and led the Bears back to the Big 12 Championship during the 3023 season. He helped the offense and defense to get the Bears back on track by doubling the win and goal totals from the 2022 season. In his first year with the Bears, Ouren developed the players with a new style of play while also focusing on recruiting. He led the Bears to four wins with a challenging schedule that included 21-time national champion North Carolina.

Assistant Coach
Baylor soccer added Fleur Benatar as assistant coach for the Bears in December 2024. "I am thrilled to add Fleur to our coaching staff," Lenard said. "She brings over 25 years of experience of coaching at all levels of the game, from elite youth soccer to all levels of the NCAA, to the US youth national team. Lea Sedwick joined the Baylor soccer staff in December of 2021 and will serve as assistant coach for the Bears. She came from Dallas Baptist University where she spent the last six years on staff. In her second year with the Bears, she helped Baylor double its win totals from the 2022 season and helped lead BU back to the Big 12 Championship. She worked with the Bears on offense and set pieces. Sedwick-Caffey helped the Bears outscore opponents 33-26 on the season. In her first year with the Bears, Sedwick-Caffey helped lead the Bears to wins over Florida, Houston, Kansas and Iowa State with developing the team into a different playing style. She helped the student-athletes compete at the highest level and deliver results on and off the pitch. After playing soccer for Dallas Baptist University for the 2011-2014 seasons, Sedwick joined the coaching staff where she was most recently the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
