Head Coach and Director of Women's Tennis
Joey Scrivano is in his 24th season with Baylor in 2025-26, boasting the eighth-most wins among active head coaches in Division I college women's tennis. In his 24 seasons leading the Baylor women's tennis program, Scrivano has put his Bears among the nation's elite, along with 19 combined Big 12 Conference championships between regular season and tournament titles. Scrivano led Baylor to an impressive 14-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament from 2005-18, and Baylor earned trips to the NCAA Final Four in 2008 and 2011. During that 14-year span, Baylor compiled an astounding 125-16 (.887) record. Scrivano was promoted from head coach to the director of women's tennis in July 2016. Associate Head Coach
Baylor women's tennis head coach Joey Scrivano announced the appointment of Dave Watts as the program's new associate head coach beginning July 1, 2025. Watts comes to Waco after leading the men's and women's tennis teams at Our Lady of the Lake University for three seasons in San Antonio, Texas. Watts was named the 2025 Red River Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year. During his tenure in San Antonio, the Saints produced six all-conference selections and earned Newcomer of the Year honors in both 2024 and 2025. The men's team posted a 20-2 record during the 2024-25 campaign, securing 20 consecutive wins before a season-ending loss to Cumberlands (Ky.) in the second round of the NAIA Tournament. Capping an award-winning season with the women's program, Watts earned RRAC Coach of the Year honors as OLLU notched its first-ever NAIA Tournament victory, defeating Oakland City (Ind.) University in the first round before falling to Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College in round two.
