DelPiombo was promoted to the title of Associate Head Volleyball Coach ahead of the 2019 season before taking over the head coaching role on Dec. 23, 2024. Entering her second season at the helm of the Falcons in 2026, DelPiombo is the fifth head coach in BGSU Volleyball's varsity history, dating back to 1976. She took over the head coaching role with 13 years of coaching experience, including nine seasons with BGSU, during which the program posted a 186-91 overall record and a 125-32 mark in MAC play. As an assistant, DelPiombo was a member of a BGSU staff that coached the Orange and Brown to back-to-back MAC Regular Season titles in 2017 and 2018, a MAC Regular Season title in 2024 as well as a MAC Regular Season and MAC Tournament titles in 2020-21 and 2022, including trips to the NCAA Tournament in both seasons. At the conclusion of the regular season, the Falcons ranked inside the top 50 in the nation for multiple stats, including total blocks (24th, 288.5), assists (30th, 1,454), kills (T-37th, 1,557), total attacks (39th, 4,203) and aces (40th, 197). The Falcons made, and hosted, the MAC Tournament at the conclusion of the regular season, advancing to the semifinals round. Wharton arrived in Bowling Green following two seasons as the head coach at Tiffin University in her hometown. Wharton coached the Dragons to a combined record of 31-28 while going 18-16 in G-MAC play, advancing to the conference tournament each season, including a semifinal appearance in 2023. Additionally, in 2024 her team ranked ninth in the NCAA’s Division III for team blocks per set, averaging 2.63. During her two seasons, she had four players named CSC Academic All-District and two earn All-Conference honors. Ben Morse was named BGSU's director of strength and conditioning in April of 2022 after spending three years at Iowa. Morse oversees BGSU's strength and conditioning program. Between 2020-22 Morse worked with the Hawkeye football program where he was responsible for implementation of speed, agility, conditioning, power, strength and flexibility with the student-athletes. He previously was an intern with the Iowa football program in 2017. The Hawkeyes won 10 games in 2021, winning the Big Ten's West Division title and advancing to the conference championship game. Iowa concluded the season with an appearance in the Vrbo Citrus Bowl and was ranked 23rd in the nation in the final national rankings. Morse joined the Iowa program after serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Boston University for two years, where he worked with the men's basketball, men's soccer and swimming & diving programs. During his time at Boston University, the Terrier men's basketball team earned the 2020 Patriot League championship. Morse previously was part of the Terriers strength and conditioning staff as an intern and graduate assistant in 2016-17. Prior to his time in Division I athletics, Morse was a strength and conditioning coach and coordinator at Body Resolution in Williston, Vermont (2012-15). Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, Santiago Segura began as an athletic trainer intern with BGSU in the fall of 2017, moving up to the title of graduate assistant from Fall 2018 until Spring 2020. Segura returned to Bowling Green in the Fall of 2020 as a full-time trainer following a brief stint at Idaho State. For the Falcons, Segura currently works with the volleyball and softball programs. During his time with volleyball, including as an intern and GA, Segura has aided the Falcons to four regular season titles (2017, 2018, 2022, 2024) as well as a MAC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022. Segura also spent time with BGSU's swimming diving program from Fall 2017 to Spring 2020 and again from Fall 2020 to Fall 2025. Between his stints with the Falcons, Segura spent time as an assistant athletic trainer for Idaho State University. With the Bengals, he worked with the women's soccer and softball programs. Prior to his arrival at Bowling Green, Segura worked as a graduate assistant at William Penn University from 2015-17 where he supervised the men's and women's soccer programs as well as men's wrestling and baseball programs for the Statesmen. Segura earned bachelor's degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Missouri Valley College in 2015. He later added a master's in Business Leadership from William Penn University in 2017 and a master's in Sport Administration from BGSU in 2020.
