Charlotte Morgan

Biography

Charlotte Morgan was named the sixth head coach in program history on June 14, 2025. Morgan comes to the Valley after spending the last four seasons as the head coach at CSUN. "Charlotte Morgan is the total package – an elite talent, an elite teacher, and an elite competitor," Klassy said. "As a former All-American and national player of the year finalist, she understands the game at the highest level. Her deep roots in California, combined with her proven success as a head coach at CSUN, make her the perfect fit for the Valley. She's a relentless strategist and developer of talent who embraces the expectations and legacy of Fresno State Softball. I couldn't be more excited to welcome her into our Bulldog family." Morgan coached the Matadors to 109 victories, highlighted by a 28-win campaign in 2023. Her players have earned a total of 16 all-conference honors as well as five first-team selections and two major Big West awards. Morgan began her coaching career at Maryland in 2012, helping the team reach the NCAA Tournament and mentoring an All-Conference pitcher. She then served as pitching coach at Georgia Tech (2014–15), where her staff threw back-to-back no-hitters and developed standout freshman Christina Biggerstaff. At Oklahoma State (2016–17), she helped lead a postseason return and guided pitcher Kacy Freeze to 19 wins and four saves. In 2017, she became head coach of the Akron Racers, continuing with the team in 2018 as the Cleveland Comets. She then joined the staff
