Since Drake took the helm, Fresno State's women's outdoor track and field team has finished no lower than fifth in five Mountain West Outdoor Championships, a place the Bulldogs had only bettered four times since 2000. The 2024-25 season saw the Bulldog women take third at the outdoor championships for the second straight year, matching their best finish in program history. That season, Fresno State earned nine medals including three MW Champions, the most in a season since 2018. The 2025 season was capped by the program’s first-ever discus national champion as Cierra Jackson claimed the title with the NCAA meet record throw of 65.82m/215-11 on her first attempt at the Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
