Head Coach
CAREER HONORS Six-Time Coastal Athletic Association Coach of the Year (2014, 2015, 2018, 2022, 2023, 2025) 2000 Southern Conference Coach of the Year Jamie Futrell enters his 29th season as head coach of the College of Charleston women's golf program in 2025-2026. With Futrell at the helm, the Cougars have made 11 NCAA Regional appearances in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025 and have won conference championships in 2006 (Southern Conference) and 2014, 2015, 2018, 2022, 2023, and 2025 (Coastal Athletic Association). He claimed his 41th career victory when CofC won the CAA Championship in 2025, moving him into a tie for seventh among active Division I head coaches and 20th all-time. Futrell his sixth CAA Coach of the Year honor after guiding the program to its third CAA crown in the last four seasons in 2025. The Cougars finished in tenth place at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional. The Cougars won three tournament titles in the fall for the first time in program history. The 2022-23 season was the best season in the history of the Charleston program. The Cougars won their second consecutive CAA Championship. Futrell won his fifth CAA Coach of the Year Award with Emma Schimpf being named CAA Player of the Year. In addition, Schimpf, Viktoria Hund and Adrian Anderson were named to the CAA first team with Othilie Lied being named to the second team. Chris Horschel is in his 15th year at the College of Charleston and 12th year leading the Cougars' Sports Medicine department. Horschel was elevated to Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine in August of 2021. He serves as the athletic trainer for the men's basketball and men's and women's golf programs. Horschel joined the staff after serving as an athletic trainer from 2003-08 at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va. From 2001-03, he was an athletic trainer at The Citadel where he earned his master's degree in education. Horschel also worked as an orthopedic cast technician at MUSC from 1998-00. A 2001 graduate of the College of Charleston, Horschel earned his bachelor's degree in physical education with a concentration in athletic training. Prior to undergrad, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from 1992-98. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and is an American Red Cross Instructor for CPR/AED Essentials. Horschel also serves as an Approved Clinical Instructor for the undergraduate athletic training curriculum program at CofC.

Assistant Coach
Jodee (Tindal) Parrott returns to her alma mater becoming the first full-time assistant coach in the history of the College of Charleston women’s golf program. Parrott played for the College of Charleston from 2018-2022. She returns to Charleston after a one-year stint as the assistant women’s golf coach at East Carolina University. She will enter her third season with the Cougars in 2025-2026. In 2025, Parrott helped guide the Cougars to the 2025 CAA Championship and a tenth place finish at the NCAA Auburn Regional. During her time at Charleston, Parrott was a four-year letterman contributing to eight team wins including the 2022 CAA Championship. She competed in back-to-back NCAA Regionals in 2021 and 2022 and was named second team All-CAA in 2019 and 2022. Parrott was also named the CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week on three separate occasions during her career at Charleston. Parrott ranks in the all-time top five in CofC history in multiple categories including fourth in career scoring average (74.38), fifth lowest season scoring average (72.38), fifth lowest 54-hole total (206), fifth in career par or better rounds (34), and fifth in career birdies (271). She is also a two-time individual medalist, finishing first at the 2019 Elon Invitational and tying for first in the 2018 Boston College Invitational. Lynn Walsh
Lynn Walsh enters her fourth year as the Director of Athletics Communications and Creative Content at the College of Charleston. In her role, Walsh heads the athletics communications office while serving as the primary contact for the Cougars' men's basketball, men's golf, women's golf and beach volleyball programs. She was named to the inaugural College Sports Communicators 30 Under 30 class in November 2022. Walsh helped triple the Cougars social media metrics during her first two years in Charleston. In 2022, the Cougars ranked 98th in total social interactions, 74th in interaction rate, 87th in total views and experienced the third-best growth rate in DI men's basketball following her hiring. She coordinated the Cougars' media efforts for the Cougars 2023 and 2024 March Madness teams, and has successfully gained national coverage for the men's basketball program through features with ESPN, CBS Sports, USA Today, Bleacher Report, Barstool Sports, and Fresh Features, among others. She successfully launched "On the Prowl with Charleston Athletics" in 2026, the official podcast of Charleston athletics as well as lead a complete website redesign of cofcsports.com with SIDEARM Sports in 2025. Walsh comes to Charleston by way of Bridgewater College. She joined the Eagles' athletic department in 2018 as part of an NCAA Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant before being promoted to Associate Director of Athletic Media Relations in July 2021 and assuming the title of Direc

Mike Martino
Mike Martino is entering his third full year as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at The College of Charleston working with softball, men's golf, women's Golf, beach volleyball, sailing, and equestrian. Prior to College of Charleston, Martino made coaching stops at Charleston Southern, Adelphi University, Siena College, and Penn State University. Outside of CofC Athletics, Martino trained Court Tennis World Champion Camden Riviere for his 2025 championship title run. He is also an active member of the CrossFit community, coaching 2 teams and several individuals to the CrossFit Games over the last decade. In 2018 he took part in a 2-year case study with Titleist Performance Institute on the effect of differing training modalities on golf performance and longevity. A former baseball player, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland and his master's in physical education from Brooklyn College.
