AJ Hoynack joined the men's basketball coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant after spending the past four seasons as a player. Hoynack began his collegiate career in 2020 where he played two seasons under Head Coach Tubby Smith, one season with Head Coach GG Smith and his final season under Head Coach Alan Huss. Hoynack graduated from HPU in May of 2024 with a degree in sales and a minor in sport management. He is currently enrolled in the CBL master's program. As a player, Hoynack appeared in 13 games, scoring 17 points and picking up 10 rebounds. During his senior season he knocked down back-to-back three-pointers in the season opener versus St. Andrews. As a Graduate Assistant, Hoynack's role will be to help with personnel for opponents as well as making sure the players are working out everyday and being on time to class and practice.
