Head Coach
Josh Rife is in his first season as head coach for the Indiana women’s soccer program in 2025. Rife is the fifth head coach in program history and takes over after a six-year stint as the head coach of Ball State women’s soccer. Indiana University Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Dolson announced the hiring of Josh Rife as the head coach of the program on February 11, 2025. He returns to his alma mater as the Honolulu, Hawaii native played two seasons for Indiana men’s soccer from 2000-01. At Indiana, Rife led the Hoosiers to back-to-back Final Four appearances in 2000 and 2001, and a Big Ten title in 2001. Rife owns an overall record of 49-38-21 (33-18-13 MAC) in this six-season tenure at Ball State, highlighted by a program record-tying 15 wins in 2019. His teams have been especially good at home, going 29-12-8 at the Briner Sports Complex. Rife has coached 19 All-MAC selections, including 2023 MAC Offensive Player of the Year Lexi Fraley and 2022 MAC Freshman of the Year Delaney Caldwell. In 2020-21, BSU set a program record with four United Soccer Coaches All-Region selections. His teams have also excelled off the field with multiple team academic awards and a total of 73 Academic All-MAC selections. Fraley was voted Second Team Academic All-America by the CSC in 2023. Ben Jones
Ben Jones joined Indiana University in October 2023 as a Sport Scientist and was promoted to Director of Sport Science in April 2025. As Director, Jones, who is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Certified Performance & Sport Scientist, oversees training load prescription and monitoring, weight room force testing, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, return-to-play progressions and wellness data collection and reporting for 23 sports. He also leads a variety of data science projects that support evidence-based decision making across the department. Jones works most closely with the men's and women's basketball and men's soccer programs in addition to serving as the Athletic Performance Coach for the men's tennis team. Before arriving at Indiana, Jones served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Bellarmine University from 2022-23, where he worked with the women's basketball, women's tennis, and the track & field programs. Under his guidance, Bellarmine track & field set over a dozen school records and earned eight medals at the ASUN Championships. His experience also includes time in the NBA as a Performance Science Associate with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he contributed to daily athlete monitoring processes and combine testing for NBA draft prospects, and served as the lead performance scientist for the Thunder's 2021 NBA Summer League team. Brandon Heeter
Brandon Heeter serves as the Sport Science Coordinator for Indiana University athletics where he works alongside the women's soccer program in addition to men's and women's basketball and men's soccer. As an intern in IU's Health Center for Elite Athlete Development, Heeter demonstrates expertise in exercise science, sport performance and strength training in athletic performance. He collects, monitors and analyzes data from the wearable technology, such as Polar and Catapult units, to observe athlete training loads for trend analysis and performance. Heeter earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Indiana's School of Public Health and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sport and Coaching Science. He is a certified USA Weightlifting level one coach.

Caitlin Miller

Kourtney Patrick, MS, RDN, LDN
Kourtney earned her bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Indiana State University in 2020. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Exercise Science from Concordia University. While completing her masters, Kourtney worked as a nutrition fellow for Indiana University before transitioning to full-time in June of 2021. Prior to coming to Bloomington, she consulted patients at a mental health facility and worked closely with their food service department standardizing recipes. Kourtney is a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetics Association and is a licensed dietitian in Indiana. Kourtney works with IU's baseball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, track, and wrestling teams. Originally from Terre Haute, Ind., she now resides in Bloomington.

Assistant Coach
Mary Seiffert is in her first season at Indiana as assistant coach in 2025. Seiffert joined Coach Rife’s staff at Indiana after three seasons at Ball State. She worked with field players during training with full group and small group and individual sessions. She also prepared scouting reports, additional game prep including film review and was active in recruiting. Seiffert joined the Ball State coaching staff after spending five seasons at Indiana Wesleyan. During her time with the Wildcats, she helped guide the squad to a Crossroads League regular season title, a Crossroads League tournament champion title, and four National Tournament appearances in four years, including an Elite Eight finish in 2019. Seiffert was a part of the USC Regional Staff of the Year that same year. Prior to her time at IWU, she spent time at Denison University and Olivet Nazarene University. While at Denison, the team made it back to the NCAA National Tournament for the first time in five years. At ONU, she aided in CCAC regular season and tournament titles in 2011. In a combined four seasons at ONU, she won the NCCAA National Tournament, was a runner-up in the NCCAA National Tournament, and made the NAIA National Tournament twice in her last two years. The Grand Haven, Michigan, native played four years at Cornerstone University from 2004-07. Assistant Coach
Peyton York is in her first season as assistant coach with Indiana women’s soccer in 2025. York joins the Hoosiers after spending two years on Josh Rife’s staff at Ball State. In her position at Ball State, York worked with the Cardinals goalkeepers who in her two seasons had a save percentage of 80 percent. She helped guide Bethany Moser to the program’s single season record of 113 saves in 2023 while Moser earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice. In addition to working with the goalies, York was hands on with the team’s defense while also assisting and organizing team travel, camps and recruiting on and off campus. York is also a PhD. Student in biochemistry at Ball State and will continue her studies and research with the university. York spent four seasons at Mississippi State as a student assistant coach. In the spring of 2018, she mentored Katie Moore and Emily Samisch, as well as led goalkeeper workouts. Prior to becoming a student assistant, York was a member of the 2018 signing class. The Prosper, Texas, native has a variety of volunteer coaching experience, including instruction at MSU soccer camps over two summers. She has coached in the youth recreation league in her hometown and offered private training sessions in the past. York has worked striker and goalkeeper camps for In the Box Soccer in Texas for three years as well as U.K. Elite Soccer Camps.
