Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach
After becoming head coach of Ohio's cross country and track & field programs in 2021, Sarah Pease has helped numerous student-athletes achieve career bests and podium finishes at the MAC Championships. Prior to coming to Athens, Pease served as an assistant coach for Ball State and her alma mater, Indiana. During the 2023 Outdoor MAC Championship, Pease coached Stephanie Pierce to two top five finishes (1500- and 800-meter) as well as coaching Theresa Hagey to a fifth place finish in the 5,000-meter race and third in the 10k. Before coming to Ohio, Pease spent time at Ball State as the assistant cross country and track & field coach, focusing primarily on the distance events. Prior to her time at Ball State, Pease spent five years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Indiana University. As a student-athlete at Indiana, Pease was a three-time NCAA Outdoor Track & Field All-American, earning first team honors in the 3000m steeplechase in 2009 and 2010. She set the program record in the event at the 2010 NCAA Championships with a fourth-place time of 9:56.91 and won the Big Ten title in the event in 2011. Pease also holds the Indiana Championship Cross Country Course record at the 6K distance and is a four-time Olympic Trials Qualifier and an 11-time USA Outdoor Championship Qualifier. Pease graduated from Indiana in May of 2011 with a bachelor's degree in human biology and earned her master's degree in kinesiology from Indiana in December of 2018.

Assistant Cross Country, Distance Coach
Windle enters his first season with the Bobcats in 2023. Windle comes to Ohio after spending several months as the assistant cross country and track and field coach at New Albany High School. While at New Albany, he oversaw the implementation of training for over 40 high school athletes, assisted in event coordinating for home meets in addition to coordinating and executing fundraising events for New Albany High School Athletics. Windle has also worked as a private coach since July of 2022. Windle attended Ashland University, where he graduated with a B.A. in History, as a member of the cross country and track and field program. During his time at Ashland, Windle was an eight-time Division II National Champion and 15-time All-American. Following the conclusion of Windle's collegiate career, he signed a contract with Brooks Running and ran professionally for eight years. While competing for Brooks, Windle was the first Global Medalist after earning Silver at the 2018 World Athletics Indoor Championships. In 2017, he qualified for the World Athletics Outdoor Championships. Windle went on to earn a Bronze Medal at the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships and Silver Medal at the 2018 USATF Indoor Championships.

Mary Boyden is in her second year with the Bobcats track & field program. Boyden most recently coached at Ohio Dominican, where she also served as an assistant coach. Prior to her two seasons with the Panthers, Boyden was a Graduate Assistant/Assistant Throws Coach for Wingate. During her time at Ohio Dominican, Boyden assisted with recruiting as well as creating lift cycles. Under her direction, new school records were set in the men's javelin and women's discus, while placing three athletes on All-GMAC. Wingate earned a women's conference title while also receiving multiple individual All-Conference honors. Additionally, five athletes were conference champions and four were national qualifiers under Boyden's assistance. Boyden also has experience in operations, marketing and fundraising, and student success through her role with the Bulldogs. The former Tiffin athlete finished eighth at the 2017 Indoor National Championship in shot put. She's also an eight-time National Qualifier in Division II and III Track and Field. Boyden threw the fourth farthest shot put throw in Tiffin's program history and was the Dragon for Life recipient in 2017. She was also recognized by Heidelburg as an athlete of the Women's Track and Field Team of the Decade in 2017. Boyden earned her bachelor's in marketing with a minor in public relations from Tiffin in May of 2017. She recently received her master's in sport management from Wingate in May of 2019.
