Director of Basketball Administration
The 2025-26 campaign will mark the first as a full-time member of OSU head coach Jacie Hoyt’s staff for Cali Mercer, who assumes the role of Director of Basketball Administration for the program. In her sixth year overall with the program, Mercer spent the 2024-25 season as a graduate assistant for the program. In that capacity, she had an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the program and was an instrumental figure in the squad’s travel preparations. Mercer spent four seasons as a student manager with the OSU program where she served as head manager during her junior and senior years. A native of Miami, Okla., Mercer graduated in the spring of 2024 with a degree in sports management and a minor in marketing. During her time as a manager, Mercer assisted with the day-to-day operations of the program, including practice setup, gear inventory and running the program’s ShotTracker system among various other tasks. Mercer is a Manager of the Year award recipient from Grow the Game, an organization which was founded in 2020 to connect former and current student managers. Her father, Rusty, was a manager for the Cowboy program under legendary head coach Eddie Sutton from 1990-94 and her brother, Caden served in the same capacity for the Cowboys from 2017-21.

Kelby Jones enters his third season in Stillwater after joining the Cowgirl program as an assistant coach prior to the 2023-24 campaign. "I could not be more excited to have Kelby as a member of our staff. He is incredibly dynamic and I know his impact will be felt immediately as a recruiter. He has a unique ability to connect with people and he's a relentless worker," Cowgirl head coach Jacie Hoyt said. "It is important for me that our players know their coaches care for them both on and off the court, and I love his passion to do so. He is a perfect fit in every area.” Jones was integral to the Cowgirls’ successful run during a record-breaking campaign in 2024-25 in which OSU secured its second NCAA berth in the program’s last three seasons. The Cowgirls racked up 25 wins on the season, the third-best total in program history and earned their second NCAA berth in three seasons under head coach Jacie Hoyt. OSU scored a program-best 113 points against Chicago State, before surpassing the mark with 125 points against Alabama State. The 125 points are the sixth most in a single game in Big 12 history. Against Alabama State, the Cowgirls also set program records for points in a quarter (36), points in a half (69), made 3-pointers (20), assists (34) and margin of victory (76). Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team added coaching veteran Mandi Carver as an assistant coach for the 2024-25 campaign. “Mandi is a great fit for our culture. Her passion for basketball and developing women on and off the court shines through her. She had a very illustrious playing career and I know our players will greatly benefit from her knowledge and ability to develop them at the highest level,” OSU head coach Jacie Hoyt said. “She has recruited and developed some of the country’s best talents in the last few years and I am positive she will do the same for us. Mandi is more than just a recruiter, she has a great mind for basketball and has been heavily involved in X’s and O’s at a very successful Fresno State program. She is one of the Swiss Army knives of our profession and we are proud she is a Cowgirl.” Carver joins the OSU program after spending the past 11 seasons at Fresno State. From 2014-16, she served as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs before being elevated to associate head coach for the program. She helped guide Fresno State to three 20-win campaigns and five postseason appearances. “I am honored and excited to join the Oklahoma State women’s basketball program. This is a university with a proud tradition and a passionate fanbase and I am eager to contribute to the growth, development and success of our student-athletes both on and off the court. Athletic Trainer
Sarah Williams joined the Oklahoma State University athletic training staff in June 2025. Her primary responsibility is providing athletic training services to the Cowgirl Basketball team. Prior to OSU, Williams spent the 2024-2025 season as a Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer for the University of Texas Longhorns' Men's and Women's Basketball Teams. During her time, the Women's team won the SEC Regular Season Championship title as well as advanced to the Final Four. A native of Andover, Massachusetts, Williams holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Allied Health from Keene State College ('22) and a masters degree in Athletic Training ('24) from West Virginia University. During her Masters, Williams worked with the Women's Tennis Team, Cheerleading, Men's and Women's Basketball, and a local high school. In between her years at WVU, Williams completed an internship with the University of Alabama Men's Basketball team and the Cleveland Browns Football Organization as an athletic training student. In addition to her education, Williams currently has one publication in the Journal of Sports Medicine titled "Resilience and Well-Being Over the Course of a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Gymnastics Season,". Williams is a certified and licensed athletic trainer in both Oklahoma and Texas. She is also Dry Needle 1 certified and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.

Hoyt came to Stillwater after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant with the staff at Kansas City where she pursued a master's in higher education administration. As a player, Hoyt competed at Tabor College from 2018-20. She helped Tabor win both the regular season and tournament KCAC titles to qualify for the NAIA national tournament in 2019. Additionally, she was the first player in program history to be selected for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's "So You Want to Be a Coach" program. Hoyt was twice selected as a Champion of Character award winner in the conference and was tabbed as both a KCAC and NAIA scholar-athlete on two occasions. An NAIA Academic All-American, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in communications and business administration. From 2016-18, Hoyt competed at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where she was named to the MIAA All-Academic squad as well as the MIAA Honor Roll. During her prep career, Hoyt played for her mother, Shelly, helping Hoxie capture three of the program's four consecutive state titles. She finished her prep career with a record of 101-3 as part of the school's state record run of 107 consecutive victories.
