He was a two-time All-Empire 8 selection in 2001 and 2002, earning All-Region honors in 2002. May graduated with a degree in political science. After graduation, May returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach from 2004-2006, helping guide the Golden Flyers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2006. May earned his National Diploma from United Soccer Coaches in 2007 and earned his advanced national coaching diploma in 2013.

Yuri Lavrynenko enters his 17th season as the associate head coach at RIT in 2025. After leading Gates-Chili High School to a New York State Championship in 1995, Lavrynenko helped Indiana University to two NCAA and four Big Ten championships from 1996-99, earning All-American, All Big Ten and Final Four MVP accolades. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 and was inducted into the Alpha Beta academic fraternity. In 2004 he earned a master of business administration from RIT with a concentration in marketing and finance. Lavrynenko played for the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer during the 2000-01 season and helped the Fire to the U.S. Open Cup championship in 2001. He played for three A-League teams from 2001-2004, including the Rochester Rhinos, and helped Montreal to the A-League championship in 2004. In 2005 he founded Yuri Lavrynenko Soccer (YLS), specializing in academies, training, and camps for youth soccer players in the Rochester area. In 2009 he earned his United States Soccer Federation "A" coaching license and possesses the USSF National Youth License. He also works as Technical Director for FC Dynamo ROC, a premier youth soccer club in Rochester, NY.
