Head Coach
On May 28, 2025, Tom Kienle was named the second head coach in the history of Rollins Women's Lacrosse following 18 years as an assistant to the program alongside Dennis Short. Under his guidance, the lacrosse program reached the national semifinals within five years of its inception, helping Rollins jump from a new program to one of the premier lacrosse programs in Division II. He was named IWLCA Division II Assistant Coach of the Year in both 2009-10 and 2011-12. A Long Island native, Kienle attended Ohio State University before earning his B.A. in Healthcare Administration and M.A. in Educational Leadership from institutions in the Orlando area. In 1993, he started the varsity boys' lacrosse program at Lake Howell High School, followed by the girls' varsity program in 1997. For twelve years, his teams won multiple district and conference championships with many players earning All-American honors and continuing at the collegiate level. He has been involved in camps and youth lacrosse organizations across Florida and works as a part-time physical education teacher. Tom lives in Orlando with his wife Rita and their three children, two of whom played for the Rollins women's lacrosse team while earning their Master's degrees, and one who plays on the varsity men's lacrosse team.
