Jeff Harger

Biography

Jeff Harger is in his fourth season at Texas A&M after arriving in Aggieland in June 2022 as an assistant coach. He was elevated to associate head coach prior to the 2026 season and works directly with offensive development and the infielders. Harger previously served as an assistant coach under Trisha Ford for five seasons at Arizona State. During his time at Texas A&M, Harger has helped develop three NFCA All-Americans, 14 NFCA All-Region selections and 11 All-SEC honorees. In 2025, the Aggies produced one of the most prolific offenses in program history, setting school records in runs (451), RBI (416) and doubles (99). The team’s .343 batting average ranked second-best in school history, while A&M led the SEC and ranked fifth nationally with an average of 7.64 runs per game. The Aggies also finished second in the SEC and third nationally with a .446 on-base percentage. Individually, Mya Perez broke Texas A&M’s 43-year-old single-season RBI record with 73, while KK Dement set freshman program records in doubles (18) and RBI (64). A&M’s offense shined at the SEC Tournament, setting tournament records in batting average (.418), runs (26) and RBI (25) in only two games en route to the program’s first SEC Tournament title. The Aggies showed significant offensive growth in 2024, ranking 13th nationally in scoring at 6.29 runs per game and 23rd in slugging percentage (.506), a marked improvement from 53rd nationally in both categories in 2023.
