She was named the Aggies’ 10th head coach on June 7, 2022, following previous coaching stops at Arizona State, Fresno State, Stanford and Saint Mary’s. On May 5, USA Softball announced Ford was selected to the U.S. Women’s National Team coaching pool for the 2025-28 quad. Since her arrival in Aggieland, Ford has guided the Maroon & White to a 127-47 record, including 43-28 in SEC play, with three NCAA Tournament appearances and the program’s first national No. 1 overall seed in 2025. Strength & Conditioning Coach
Brett Lenaburg joined the Texas A&M Strength and Conditioning staff in September 2025 and serves as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, overseeing the Aggie Softball and Dance programs. Lenaburg came to Texas A&M after eight years at Ole Miss, where he served as an Assistant Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning. During his tenure with the Rebels, he worked with Softball, Soccer, Men’s Tennis, Rifle, and Track & Field. While at Ole Miss, he contributed to the success of multiple NCAA Tournament teams, a conference championship, and six individual national champions. Before his time at Ole Miss, Lenaburg spent four years at Rice University as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, working directly with the Soccer and Volleyball programs while assisting with all Olympic sports. Lenaburg also brings professional baseball experience, having served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Colorado Rockies and their minor league affiliate, the Asheville Tourists. Prior to that, he was the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Scottsdale Community College Baseball and a Performance Coach at Triple Threat Performance, where he trained professional, collegiate, and high school athletes across multiple sports. As a former athlete, Lenaburg played football at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona, earning time at center, guard, and on special teams. Director of Player Development
Easton Herring joined head coach Trisha Ford’s staff as director of player development in October 2025. Herring oversees all the data, analytics and video collected during practice and competition along with advanced scouting for all opponents. He also assists the coaching staff with recruiting and the development of the Aggie catchers. He arrived in Aggieland following coaching stints at Wichita State, Austin Peay and Virginia Tech. Herring spent two seasons at Wichita State as an assistant coach, specializing on the defensive side and serving as the first base coach. During his tenure with the Shockers, he helped develop four All-Conference First Team selections, as well as two All-Americans and the 2024 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year. He assisted the program in reaching the American Athletic Conference Tournament championship game in 2024 and helped recruit the No. 4 Mid-Major and No. 46 nationally class of 2026 signing class. Prior to Wichita State, Herring served as defensive coach and assistant coach at Austin Peay before joining nationally ranked Virginia Tech as a volunteer assistant, catching and outfield coordinator and first base coach in 2022. During his season at Virginia Tech, Herring developed scouting reports for the Top 10-ranked Hokies, who finished 46-10 with 14 wins over Top 25 opponents and hosted both an NCAA Regional and Super Regional. Associate Head Coach
Jeff Harger is in his fourth season at Texas A&M after arriving in Aggieland in June 2022 as an assistant coach. He was elevated to associate head coach prior to the 2026 season and works directly with offensive development and the infielders. Harger previously served as an assistant coach under Trisha Ford for five seasons at Arizona State. During his time at Texas A&M, Harger has helped develop three NFCA All-Americans, 14 NFCA All-Region selections and 11 All-SEC honorees. In 2025, the Aggies produced one of the most prolific offenses in program history, setting school records in runs (451), RBI (416) and doubles (99). The team’s .343 batting average ranked second-best in school history, while A&M led the SEC and ranked fifth nationally with an average of 7.64 runs per game. The Aggies also finished second in the SEC and third nationally with a .446 on-base percentage. Individually, Mya Perez broke Texas A&M’s 43-year-old single-season RBI record with 73, while KK Dement set freshman program records in doubles (18) and RBI (64). A&M’s offense shined at the SEC Tournament, setting tournament records in batting average (.418), runs (26) and RBI (25) in only two games en route to the program’s first SEC Tournament title. The Aggies showed significant offensive growth in 2024, ranking 13th nationally in scoring at 6.29 runs per game and 23rd in slugging percentage (.506), a marked improvement from 53rd nationally in both categories in 2023. Assistant Coach
Russ Heffley joined Trisha Ford's inaugural staff at Texas A&M as volunteer assistant coach in August of 2022 before being elevated to assistant coach in July of 2023. Heffley oversees the development of the Aggie catchers and coaches first base in-game, while assisting with recruiting efforts, hitting duties and day-to-day activities. In his first season in Aggieland, he mentored and elevated Julia Cottrill’s game as she earned NFCA Third Team All-America and NFCA All-South Region First Team accolades as a junior. Along with national and regional recognition, Cottrill garnered All-SEC First Team honors after finishing the SEC regular season ranked in the top 10 in numerous offensive categories, including three top five rankings as No. 3 in RBI (22), No. 4 in doubles (6) and No. 5 in total bases (49). Before coming to Aggieland he spent two seasons at Arizona State with Ford, specifically working with the outfielders. Prior to joining the Arizona State staff in 2020, Heffley served as the head coach of the 18 Gold Central California Dirt Dogs organization, which was constructed in 2007 to help players from central California hone their skills to compete in the highest levels of softball. Heffley got his start in coaching softball at Hanford West High School in Hanford, California. He also served as a football coach for 22 years at three different high schools in central California. A 27-year veteran in law enforcement, Heffley retired from the field in 2019.
