In addition, Henry also has a pair of national titles on the NJCAA level while coaching at Blinn College in Brenham. In achieving the most NCAA championships by a head coach for indoor and outdoor track and field, Henry is currently the active leader and third among coaches all-time in any sport for national team titles. The all-time NCAA list is topped by Kenyon College's Jim Steen, who has 50 titles in Division III swimming and diving, while Arkansas' John McDonnell collected 40 NCAA men's titles between cross country (11) and track (29). Henry, who became head coach of the Texas A&M track and field program in the fall of 2004, became the first coach to lead a school to three consecutive men's and women's NCAA Outdoor Championships when the Aggies accomplished the feat during the 2009-2010-2011 seasons. Assistant Coach
Amin Nikfar joins the Aggies from North Carolina after leading the Tar Heels throws group for the past six seasons. During his time in Chapel Hill, he guided his athletes to 14 All-America honors, highlighted by a runner-up finish from Tommy Kitchell in the shot put at the men’s 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, and a pair of third-place finishes at the women’s outdoor nationals, courtesy of Madison Wiltrout in the javelin and Jill Shippee in the hammer throw, in 2022 and 2021, respectively. His groups also stood out on the conference level, securing nine individual ACC titles across the indoor and outdoor seasons. Prior to UNC, Nikfar served as an assistant coach at Stanford where he was named the 2019 USTFCCCA West Region’s Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year for his work with his four women’s NCAA Outdoor Championship competitors. He also spent time coaching at Southeastern Louisiana, the University of New Orleans, St. Francis High School and adds a pair of volunteer coaching roles at Northern Arizona and his alma mater, California. Before his retunr to his home state, Nikfar spent three seasons — one as associate head coach and two as an assistant — at Southeastern Louisiana University where he coached throws and the high jump from 2015-18. He leads the pole vault groups and during his time coaching with the program his group has accumulated one national title, 14 conference medals, including four gold, three silver and six bronze, while also helping obtain five All-America honors. His athletes dominate the top of the Texas A&M record books, as all four of the pole vault school records have fallen during his time with the team. Texas A&M's pole vault group has a 2025 season to remember under coach Sarra's leadership, as he secured his first NCAA Champion under his coaching which helped spearhead the Aggies 10th NCAA Championship team title. Aleksandr Solovev made history for the Maroon & White at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, as he became the first Aggie to win a pole vault national title after clearing a school-record mark of 5.78m/18-11.5 to ensure his crown. Solovev's success didn't stop there, as Sarra helped guide him to gold at the SEC Outdoor Championships, as well as the indoor school record in the event following a successful attempt over 5.80m/19-0.25.

During his time with the Maroon & White his athletes individually have won one national championship, one conference championship, 16 conference medals and 48 All America honors. Coach Kurt Henry's groups stood out during the Aggies 2025 campaign, as they played a pivotal role in securing the Aggies' 10th NCAA National title and first SEC men's indoor conference title. On the individual level, Jaiya Covington and coach Kurt put the nation on notice, as he helped guide the junior to the NCAA title in the indoor 60m hurdles. Covington became the first Aggie woman to win the event, doing so in a school-record time of 7.90. She also impressed outdoors, placing second in the 100m hurdles, while tacking on a pair of bronze medals in the short hurdle events at the SEC Championships. Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Olivia Ekponé made her return to Aggieland to join head coach Pat Henry's staff at the start of the 2024/25 season. Since landing back in College Station, she took on the role of athletics assistant for the Maroon & White, helping in multitude of roles for the track & field program. Assisting on the track, she aids both Coach Pat Henry and Coach Kurt Henry with the decorated 400m and sprint groups for practice and meet day preparation. Her experience as an athlete helped those groups, as she contributed to the men's programs fifth NCAA Outdoor National Title and first SEC Indoor Championship during the 2025 season. Her groups on the men’s side accounted for 10 points at the NCAA outdoor championships and eight points at the indoor championships. Collecting honors throughout the season, Ekponé’s squads tacked on 13 All-America accolades and three conference medals. The women’s team also saw success through her leadership, with 19 All-America honors and three league medals. As an athlete, Ekponé was a four-year letterwinner and 12-time All-American for the Maroon & White. She played a key role in securing the women’s team’s fourth NCAA outdoor championship in 2014 and the program’s first SEC outdoor team title in 2013. Madison Treece, a member of the Texas A&M graduate Class of ’25, joined the Athletics Department in August of 2021 and currently serves as a Sports Scientist. Madison is a Certified Performance & Sport Scientist (CPSS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In her role, she serves as a sports scientist for our athletic programs, primarily assisting Texas A&M Men’s Basketball, Softball, and Track and Field / Cross-Country, and providing biomechanics expertise to our Performance and Wellness units. Prior to her current role, she was the first Texas A&M Athletics Sports Science PhD Fellow from 2021-2025. She completed her PhD in Kinesiology at Texas A&M under Dr. Jenna Yentes, generating a practitioner’s guide for evaluating an under-researched assessment – while focusing on the isometric belt squat. Prior to moving to Aggieland, Madison Treece received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 2019 and her Master of Science in Exercise Science from South Carolina in 2021. During her time at South Carolina, Madison had an active role within their athletics programs, predominantly with their indoor and beach volleyball teams. During her undergraduate studies, she assisted with strength and conditioning and then became a manager for the indoor volleyball team. During her graduate studies, Madison served as a graduate assistant for the indoor volleyball team and a head of operations for the beach volleyball team.

Mario Sategna has displayed his elite level of coaching since arriving in Aggieland, as he has delivered a national champion every season since joining the program. Sategna’s coaching resume since his arrival stands at three national champions, eight conference champions and 19 All-America honors. His success was recognized by the USTFCCCA, as he named the 2025 Outdoor Women's Assistant Coach of the Year. In the Aggies 2025 campaign, Sategna’s position group shone on the brightest stages. Highlighting the season was Winny Bii, as she was the first Aggie to win the NCAA outdoor triple jump title, while also finishing runner up in the event at the indoor nationals. The standout triple jumper didn’t stop there, as she captured the SEC indoor crown and finished second in the event outdoors. Texas A&M’s talented multis group had a productive year, which included a pair of conference titles from Sofia Yakushina in the outdoor heptathlon and from Blake Harris in the indoor heptathlon. Yakushina also made her mark nationally, as she finished runner up at the NCAA indoor championships and third at the outdoor championships. The freshman also wrote her name in the NCAA record books, as she recorded 6,260 points in her heptathlon debut at the 44 Farms Team Invitational which was the highest total by a freshman in NCAA history. Assistant Coach
Paul Ereng has been instrumental to the Aggies recent success, helping the program obtain its 10th NCAA National title and first men’s SEC Indoor championship. Ereng’s athletes during his three years in Aggieland individually account for two national titles, six conference titles and nine All-America honors. Coach Ereng helped spearhead the charge for the Aggie men’s sixth NCAA Championship title, as he guided Sam Whitmarsh to the individual 800m title. Whitmarsh became only the second member of the Maroon & White to win the event outdoors. Ereng and Whitmarsh’s 800m dominance didn’t stop there, as he helped the A&M senior sweep both the SEC indoor and outdoor 800m titles for the second-straight year which also helped capture the men’s programs first indoor SEC title. Ereng’s 800m athletes also helped account for success in relay events, as Kimar Farquharson played a pivotal role in claiming the 4x400m SEC indoor title, while Caden Norris helped capture the indoor DMR crown. On the women’s side, Debora Cherono rewrote the Texas A&M record books under Ereng’s tutelage downing both the Texas A&M school records in the indoor mile and outdoor 3,000m steeplechase. Cherono’s steeplechase success led her to break the previous school record and then her own record on five occasions throughout the outdoor season, culminating in a conference medal and First Team All-America honors at the National Championships. Athletic Trainer
A state licensed and nationally certified athletic trainer, Saul M. Luna is responsible for the prevention and care of injuries for the Aggie men's and women's track and field and the cross country teams. A native of San Diego, Texas, Luna graduated from San Diego High School in 1994. After graduation from San Diego, Luna attended Texas A&M University and served as a student athletic trainer under Karl Kapchinski. Upon graduation in the fall of 1999, Luna served as head athletic trainer at Brownsville Pace High School from January 2000-March 2001 before moving on to Corpus Christi Carroll High School where he served as head athletic trainer from March 2001-May 2006. In August of 2006, Luna returned to Texas A&M to begin work on a master's degree. In the spring of 2010, he completed his Masters of Education in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication and joined the athletic training staff as a full-time athletic trainer that fall. Luna is married to the former Laura Escalon Longoria who is a teacher for College Station ISD. Saul enjoys reading, is passionate about helping/encouraging other to be the best they can be, and enjoys attending Brazos Fellowship.
