Jawaan Holmes is in his second season as an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee at Martin and his first year in the general manager role in 2025-26. As general manager, Holmes is responsible for a variety of duties including fundraising, NIL/revenue share negotiations, current player evaluation, prospect player evaluation, helping head coach Jeremy Shulman with roster construction strategy and community outreach. Last season, UT Martin featured 16 newcomers, which were tied with California, IU Indy and Louisville for the most in NCAA Division I men’s basketball in 2024-25.
