Heading into this fifth season as head coach and 18th season overall in 2025, Rhein was named as an assistant coach in 2008, was promoted to associate head coach in 2013, took over as interim head coach in 2021 and now serves as the head coach beginning with the 2022 season. During his tenure, the Golden Hurricane has compiled a 133-145-41 overall mark and a 25-34-14 record in conference play with Rhein as head coach. 24 student-athletes have earned all-conference honors, three were tabbed to the conference all-tournament team, Rachel Thun was selected as The American Rookie of the Year (2014) and Midfielder of the Year (2016), Jordan O’Brien was tabbed as the Conference USA Freshman of the Year (2010), 23 players received all-Rookie/Freshman accolades and five picked up NSCAA All-Region honors. Goalkeepers Coach Intern
Bryan Weygand joined the Tulsa women’s soccer staff as a goalkeepers coach intern prior to the 2023-24 season. In his 16 years at Rogers State as an assistant coach with the men’s soccer program, Weygand has directed two Sooner Athletic Conference and one Great American Conference Goalkeeper of the Year. Under his watch, Hillcat goalkeepers have been named Heartland Conference, SAC and GAC Defensive Players of the Week 32 times and twice a RSU keeper was named NAIA National Goalkeeper of the Week. He has also had one player named as an All-American during his time at Rogers State. His coaching career began at Bixby High School with Tulsa Coach Jim Rhein, as an assistant from 1996-2001. Weygand coached the Hurricane Futbal Club in 1999 and served as co-coach of the '88 Boys until their graduation in 2006. He has in the past oversaw all goalkeeper training duties at Hurricane Club and Blitz United, including competitive and academy goalkeepers. Weygand also works for Windstream Communications as an Account Development Manager. He has been married to his wife, Kendi since 2005.

Assistant Coach
Dan Williams joined the Golden Hurricane women’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in March of 2025. Williams comes to TU after spending the previous two seasons across town as an assistant coach at Oral Roberts, contributing to 17 combined wins with the Golden Eagles and finishing as the Summit League tournament runner-up in 2024. Before joining ORU in 2023, Williams served as the general manager and head coach for SIDE FC 92 from 2020-2024, where he helped establish the program and helped lead the team to a national Elite Eight appearance in its first season. Concurrently, he worked as the Girls NPL Technical Director at West Side Alliance S.C. from 2017-2022, overseeing player and coach development, and facilitating nine teams to multiple national finals. Williams also has two years of experience (2019-2020) as a match observer for the United Soccer League (USL) and previously held the role of Director of Soccer Operations at ORU from 2016 to 2020. His coaching career includes positions at Dakota Wesleyan University as a men’s and women’s graduate assistant and various club teams. As a player, Williams spent one year at Feather River Community College, one season at King University and his final two years at Northeastern State, where earned his bachelor's degree in 2011. He earned a master’s degree in education policy and administration from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2013.

Associate Head Coach
Jo Johnson returned to the Golden Hurricane women's soccer program as associate head coach in June of 2025. It'll be her first year in her new role and her fourth overall season with Tulsa. Johnson spent three seasons (2021-23) as an assistant coach for TU before departing for a one-year head coaching stint for Spokane Zephyr FC, an American professional women's soccer club based in Spokane, Washington, that competes in the USL Super League (USLS). Johnson played a pivotal role in launching Zephyr FC, leading the club through its debut season with unmatched dedication, professionalism and vision. Under her leadership, the team established a competitive foundation, and a strong cultural identity built on unity and excellence. During her tenure at Tulsa, the Golden Hurricane has earned 18 wins, while two players have achieved American All-Conference honors and five players were tabbed to the All-Rookie team. She helped current senior forward Jordan Frederick earn a spot on College Soccer News’ Team of the Week in September of 2022, the first-ever national weekly honor in program history. Johnson originally came to TU after serving seven years (2014-20) as the Jenks High School head girls coach. She compiled an 81-22 overall record, coached 15 all-state players and 25 players who went on to play at the collegiate level. Volunteer Assistant
Kaylee Dao Rodriguez is in her third year as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer program, joining the team prior to the 2023 season. While at Tulsa, Rodriguez has helped coach four all-conference players, three all-freshman athletes and helped the Golden Hurricane reach back-to-back conference tournaments for the first time since 2014-15. Tulsa also set the all-time single-season assist record in 2024 with 43 total assists. TU put together seven wins in the 2024 season and made it back to the American Conference Championship. Leah Diaz took home AAC Second Team All-Conference, Blaine Schutte grabbed Third Team All-Conference and All-Freshman Team and Aniya Facen was tabbed to the All-Freshman Team. In 2023, Rodriguez helped lead the Hurricane to five wins and a spot in the American Athletic Conference Championship for the first time since 2015. Sophomore Jordan Frederick was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team, while Kaylyn Simmons - a second team all-conference selection - and Piper Szafranski received All-Rookie Team accolades. Rodriguez came to Tulsa after serving the last two years as a West Side Alliance Soccer Club coach. While at WSA, she helped identify key areas of development and designed training structures and practice plans for her players to implement during games.
