Drew LaComb

Biography

Drew LaComb enters his second season in the role of hitting coach and offensive coordinator for the Falcons in 2025, as he joined Air Force having previously served as the head coach of Regis University for four seasons. The Rangers were an impressive 87-77-1 during his tenure as skipper. In his second year in the Falcon dugout, LaComb guided to a 20-34 record including a 12-18 mark in Mountain West play. At the plate, the Birds produced 499 hits, scored 364 runs, and posted a team batting average of .282 while slugging .445. Under LaComb’s leadership, Zach Peters emerged as an offensive standout, earning Mountain West All-Conference honors after leading the team at the plate during the ’25 campaign: batting average (.347), runs (54), hits (68), slugging percentage (.602), doubles (20), home runs (8), and RBIs (48). During the 2024 season, LaComb helped lead the Falcons to an 18-12 Mountain West record resulting in the first Regular Season Championship title in program history and an overall record of 27-28. Under LaComb, the Falcon hitters posted a team batting average of .286 and a .468 slugging percentage. At the plate, Air Force hit 64 home runs, the sixth best in Falcon history, 105 doubles, 20 triples, and totaled 332 RBIs, while also drawing 224 walks. The Falcons saw five Mountain West All-Conference selections, including Co-Player of the Year, Jay Thomason, and Second Team honorees, Sam Kulasingam and Chase Spencer.
