Head Coach
Josh Loeser, a USAG and conference coach of the year, is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Air Force men’s gymnastics team. The Falcons have soared to new heights under Loeser’s watch, accounting for the program’s first-ever NCAA champion and the team’s best national finish in more than 50 years. The Falcons history-making run began in 2023, when the Falcons finished eighth at the NCAA Championships – a placement that marked the program’s best national finish since 1972. Air Force, which returned to the top of the podium at the All-Academy Championships that year, finished third at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships to equal the program’s highest conference finish. Loeser, who was named the MPSF Coach of the Year, saw Patrick Hoopes claim NCAA All-America honors on the pommel horse, Garrett Braunton win the program’s first MPSF title in four years (high bar) and three Falcons combine for four individual titles at the USAG Collegiate Nationals. The success continued in 2024, as Loeser coached Hoopes to the NCAA title on the pommel horse – the first-ever NCAA championship for the Air Force gymnastics program. As a team, the Falcons defended their All-Academy title and regained the title at the USAG Collegiate Nationals, where Loeser was named the USAG Coach of the Year and Air Force claimed individual titles in five of the six events, as well as the all-around. The team earned another top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships in 2024, while four Falco

Assistant Coach
A two-time NCAA champion at the University of Oklahoma and a former member of the Jamaican National Team, Mike Reid is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Air Force men’s gymnastics program. Reid, a collegiate teammate of fellow Air Force assistant Sergey Resnick, joined the Academy staff following a three-year stint at the U.S. Naval Academy. A standout technician on the pommel horse, Reid was a three-time All-American on his signature event. Finishing sixth as a sophomore and second as a junior, he capped his collegiate career with an NCAA championship in 2015 – using a 15.500 performance to become just the third OU gymnast to capture a national title on that event. Reid, who also competed on the parallel bars for Oklahoma, helped the Sooners to three runner-up finishes and the team title during his senior year. Following his collegiate career, Reid joined the international ranks as a member of the Jamaican National Team. Representing Jamaica at the 2019 World Championships, the 2021 Central America Championships, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Reid became the Central American champion in both the pommel horse and parallel bars. In 2023, a skill – “The Reid” – was named after him at the Pan American Championships. Reid began his coaching journey at the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, Okla., before moving on to the Southlake Gymnastics Academy in Southlake, Texas. During his tenure at Southlake, he saw the club break the record for Junior National q

Sergey Resnick, the 2024 USAG Assistant Coach of the Year, is in his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Air Force men’s gymnastics program. Resnick, a two-time All-American on the parallel bars, brings a wealth of experience to the Falcons – having competed on two national championship teams during his collegiate career. Resnick’s efforts on the sidelines helped the Falcons to an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships in 2023 – the placement that marked the program’s best national finish since 1972. Air Force, which collected another NCAA top-10 finish in 2024, saw Patrick Hoopes became the Academy’s first-ever NCAA champion last season, as he won the pommel horse with the second-highest score in program history (15.300). Under his watch, the Falcons captured the 2024 team title at the USAG Collegiate Nationals – a finish that helped Resnick claim his first USAG Assistant Coach of the Year award. He has seen the Falcons claim 10 USAG individual titles in the last two seasons, while Hoopes has gone on two capture a pair of NCAA All-America honors. The Falcons have matched their best conference finish (third) twice, while Air Force also returned to the top of the podium at the All-Academy Championships – defeating service academy rivals Army West Point and Navy in each of the last two years. Resnick came to the Academy following a stint at Enrich Gymnastics and Dance in Houston, where he coached the 2018 Junior National champion. Resnick, who got his coaching st
