Dalton Hengst is the Assistant Distance Coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. He began his coaching career at Colorado after a standout collegiate running career at the University of Tennessee, where he became the first Volunteer to break the four-minute mile and set the school record with a 3:59.71 performance. At Tennessee, he also scored at the SEC Indoor Championships and earned a medal in the 1500 meters at the SEC Outdoor Championships. Before Tennessee, Hengst competed for five years at the University of Mississippi, where he was a five-time SEC track and field finalist and helped the Ole Miss cross country team win SEC titles in 2018 and 2019. Hengst brings extensive competitive experience and event knowledge to his coaching role, shaped by national-level performances, conference honors, and school records throughout his collegiate career.

Korey Blodgett has served as an assistant athletic trainer at Colorado since January 2025, working with the men's and women's cross country and track & field teams. In this role, he oversees the daily health care of CU student-athletes, including injury and illness prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. Prior to joining Colorado, Blodgett worked at the Steadman Hawkins Orthopedic Clinic, where he primarily assisted the wrist and hand surgery team. He previously served as the interim head athletic trainer at Wellesley College, overseeing all medical care and sports medicine administrative responsibilities for the college's student-athletes.

Lauren Cawley joined the CU Athletic Department as a Communications Associate in February 2026, returning to the department after serving as a student intern from 2023–24. Cawley serves as the primary media contact for CU's cross country and track & field programs, overseeing all media relations efforts, including strategic communications, press materials, statistical reporting, and social media strategy. Prior to her current role, Cawley was a graduate assistant at Tulane University, where she managed media relations for women's basketball and cross country/track & field. A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at Bryant University, she brings extensive knowledge of the sport and has worked with multiple national track & field media outlets, covering several NCAA Championships on site. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cawley is passionate about elevating student-athlete stories and advancing strategic storytelling in collegiate athletics.
