Assistant Coach

Charlotte Imer joins the cross country and track & field programs serving as an assistant coach ahead of the 2024-25 season. Imer will be responsible for the oversight of the middle and long-distance event groups. In her first season with the Blue Hens, Imer helped the women's middle distance and long distance runners set nine new entries in the program's top 10 all-time. The Blue Hens Distance Medley Relay team placed second in the indoor CAA Championships, and Kadance Dumas finished third in the 800-meters at the outdoor CAA Championships Imer makes her way down I-95 to Newark after spending three seasons as an assistant coach for Temple’s women's cross country and track & field programs (2022-24). During Imer’s tenure in North Philadelphia, the Owls have excelled in women’s cross country and distance events in track and field. Laura Nicholson (2022) and Elsa Chan (2023) earned All-Conference honors at the AAC Cross Country Championships. Nicholson also secured a bronze in the mile at the 2023 AAC Indoor Championships, and at the 2023 AAC Outdoor Championships, she won gold in the 1,500 meters and silver in the 800 meters. Her impressive performance earned her a spot at the 2023 NCAA East Regional, where she advanced to the quarterfinals in the 1,500 meters. Nicholson became the first Temple athlete since 2021 to advance beyond the preliminaries and the first since Blanca Fernandez in 2015 to reach the quarterfinals in the 1,500 meters.
