Kansas Highlights 16 Tournament Titles 75 Top-5 Finishes 8-Straight NCAA Regional Appearances 2 NCAA Championship Appearances 15 GCAA All-America Scholars Coached 7 Big 12 Golfers of the Month Coached In his 13th season as the Kansas Men’s Golf Head Coach, Jamie Bermel has established the Jayhawk program as one of the premiere programs in the Midwest. Under Bermel’s leadership, the Jayhawks have qualified for eight-straight NCAA Regionals, have won 16 tournaments and registered 75 Top-5 finishes. The very respected veteran coach has also led the Jayhawks to two NCAA Championships, the most recent being the 2021-22 season. For the 2023-24 season, Bermel and the Jayhawks produced three individual medalists, notched three Top-5 team finishes and made their eighth-consecutive NCAA Regional appearance. Kansas was led by senior Cecil Belisle, who carried a 71.91 scoring average for the season and won two individual events. Bermel coached Belisle to be just his seventh Big 12 Golfer of the Month at Kansas, earning the honors in February 2024. Belisle was also named to the PING All-Region Team following the season. Sophomore Will King joined his teammate in the win column, taking home medalist honors at the Gopher Invitational. This marked just the second season Coach Bermel had three individual winners in a single season while at Kansas.
