Sharlene Milwood-Lee brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Hawks following a nationwide search, acting most recently as the head coach at her alma mater Farleigh Dickinson University, where she led the program for 18 seasons. At the head of Farleigh Dickinson, Milwood-Lee was the 2020 Northeast Conference Indoor Women's Track & Field Coach of the Year, when the team won the conference championship, while consistently placing student-athletes on All-Conference lists. Prior to taking over the Knights squads in 2003, Milwood-Lee was also an assistant and interim head coach at FDU, as well as heading the Bergen Community College programs and acting as an assistant at Montclair State starting in 1997. As a student-athlete from 1990 to 1994, Milwood-Lee was one of the most decorated runners in Farleigh Dickinson history, being elected to the Knights' Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Northeast Conference's Hall of Fame in 2010. Milwood-Lee won 11 NEC titles, racing in the 300m, 400m and 800m as an individual, and the 4x400m and 4x200m during relays. Her 4x400m squad also captured gold at the 1993 U.S. Olympic Festival.

Jathan DeBerry has served in various roles at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Director since the Summer of 2023. DeBerry was additionally elevated to the position of Director of Quality Control in July 2025. Jathan comes to UMES from the University of Central Missouri where he recently received his Master's of Science in Sport Management. While attending Central Missouri, Jathan interned with the Kansas City Mavericks, a professional hockey club where he served as a staff accountant and assisted with game-day operations as well as other duties. Jathan received his Bachelor's degree from UNC-Pembroke in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. A former student-athlete, Jathan competed in track and field and wished to carry his experiences as a student-athlete into a career into athletics administration. Jathan is from Leland, NC and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Paris Vaughan was named the assistant track and field/cross country coach at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in July of 2025. Vaughan previously coached at Lenoir-Rhyne, where he developed multiple conference champions and All-Americans, including Melody Jones (60m hurdles Indoor All-American), Philip Stoemne (indoor pole vault, heptathlon and decathlon), and Clarence McGill (400m hurdles All-American). Under his guidance, new school records were set in women's 100m, 200m, 400m dash, 400m hurdles, indoor pentathlon, outdoor heptathlon, decathlon, and long jump, while men's records fell in the 400m dash and hammer throw. He also developed the first-ever LR athletes in the 400m dash, 4x400m relay, and heptathlon to advance to nationals. Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, Vaughan coached at his alma mater, Alderson Broaddus (2019-2023), where he coached six conference champions and oversaw 95% of school records broken in just four years. As a student-athlete at Alderson Broaddus (2015-2018), Vaughan won conference championships in the 110m hurdles (2016 & 2017), 400m hurdles (2016), 4x100m (2016), and 4x400m (2017), graduating with a degree in Sport Management. He later competed as a graduate student at Indiana (Pa.) University. Vaughan is originally from Largo, Maryland and has been named Southeast Region Indoor and Outdoor Women's Coach of the Year and South Atlantic Conference Women's Indoor Coach of the Year.
