Dee Anderson

Biography

Dee Anderson was hired as an assistant coach in April 2026. Anderson oversees the wings and is the community service liaison for the program. She came to Memphis after two seasons at Georgia Southern, joining Hana Haden's first staff in Statesboro. Senior wing Kishyah Anderson had a breakout season in her first year under Coach Anderson's tutelage in 2025-26. She was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year behind 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game and shooting splits of 50.6% from the field, 46.7% from distance and 76.2% from the line. Prior to her time at GS, Anderson spent four years at UNC Asheville as an assistant coach, and she got her coaching start as a graduate assistant at Clemson. She was been named to the WBCA 30 Under 30 Coaches list in 2024, created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women’s basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. A high-level player in her own right, Anderson played 121 games for the University of Florida from 2015-18, totaling 724 points, 416 rebounds and 304 career assists. The Viera, Florida, native was on the 2015 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll and graduated from UF with a degree in telecommunications.
