Jake Miller

Biography

Elevated to Director of Athletic Communications in September 2023, Miller spearheaded the redesign and rollout of the new-look www.uncabulldogs.com in January 2024. During the 2024 fiscal year, the revamped website saw 1.5 million views and 1.9 million views during the 2025 fiscal year. Miller has also promoted Brendan Herb as Asheville's lone College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® selection in 2023-24 and 2024-25. Miller was also selected as the Athletics representative serving on UNC Asheville's Staff Council. Miller was hired on Nov. 2, 2022 as UNC Asheville's Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. In his role with the Bulldogs, Miller serves as the primary contact for the UNC Asheville women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and baseball programs. Miller came to Asheville after running the Athletics Media Relations office at Division II Coker University for three-plus years in his second stint at the institution, first as the Director of Athletics Media Relations before being promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics in September 2021. In that time, Miller worked extensively with Coker's 24 athletic programs, overseeing all aspects of publicity and promotion, social media and live streaming, as well as special events and ticketing for Coker's Athletic department.
