Eric McKibban joined the 49ers as the Director of Baseball Performance in February 2021. McKibban previously served as the Director of Strength & Conditioning at Premier Pitching. He began working with Premier Pitching in the winter of 2018 as an intern while finishing his degree at UCF and was promoted to a full-time role after graduation in May of 2019. Working with both the baseball and softball programs at Charlotte, in 2023 the Niners were one of just 13 schools to have both their baseball and softball programs reach the Regional Finals in their respective sports and were the only non-Autonomy Five school to accomplish the feat. In four seasons working with Charlotte's baseball program, 11 players have been drafted and a total of 16 have joined a major league organization. McKibban is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and the National Sports Performance Association as a Certified Speed & Agility Coach (CSAC). A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, McKibban played baseball at the University of Evansville from 2012-2016. He received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Evansville and went on to receive his master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Florida from 2017-2019.

Coach Toby Bicknell completed his sixth season with the 49ers in 2025. Known for a tireless work ethic and passion for the game, Bicknell brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years of coaching that began in the Charlotte region. "I couldn't be more excited to welcome Coach Bicknell," remarked Woodard. "He's another Charlotte native and we go back to my high school days. He brings both a high level of knowledge and passion that will help all facets of our program. I can't express in words how thankful I am that all five members of our staff are homegrown North Carolinians and guys I consider friends." Bicknell is the lead recruiter for the 49ers baseball teams and has been one of the best recruiters in the country, bringing in the No. 21-ranked transfer class of 2023 according to D1Baseball. That included the 39th-ranked JUCO transfer of 2023 in Brandon Stahlman and the No. 51-ranked Impact Transfer in Donye Evans. Ahead of the 2025 season, Bicknell was able to get the No. 29th-ranked JUCO pitcher, Andrew Kribbs, and the 21st-ranked JUCO bat, Cody Gunderson, to commit to the 9 Across The Chest. Bicknell was also instrumental in landing Blake Gillespie from Georgia ahead of the 2025 season, with Gillespie going on to throw the second no-hitter in program history that year while becoming the 13th Niner in program history and just the fourth pitcher to be named an All-American.
