Jordan Diaz

Biography

Jordan Diaz was hired as the head strength and conditioning coach for UNT football in December of 2025. Diaz joins the Mean Green after spending the last three seasons as director of speed and associate director of football performance at Georgia Tech. In three seasons with the Yellowjackets, Diaz helped Georgia Tech appear in three consecutive bowl games for the first time since 2012-14. Across three seasons, Diaz helped the Yellowjackets garner 27 All-Conference honorees including five First Team selections. In 2025, Georgia Tech finished the season with nine wins, the most for the program since 2016. The Yellowjackets posted the No. 13 total offense in FBS, led by QB Haynes King who finished the season ranked 10th in the Heisman Trophy voting. The 2024 season saw GT post seven wins and earn a berth to the Birmingham Bowl and win a pair of games against Top 10 opponents, including a 28-23 victory over No. 4 Miami. In Diaz' first season in 2023, the Yellowjackets earned a bowl berth and knocked off UCF in the Gasparilla Bowl for the program's first bowl victory since 2016. Diaz joined Georgia Tech in 2023 after two seasons at USF, where he served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2021 and 2022. With USF, his primary duties included overseeing the speed, agility and conditioning aspects of the Bulls' football program and the use and analysis of the Catapult Sports monitoring system.
