White is the sixth head coach in program history and will enter his first season with the Mean Green in 2026. Prior to joining North Texas, White was the head coach at the University of Central Oklahoma for 12 years where he compiled a 498-171 (.744) record to become the winningest coach in program history. Among active NCAA head coaches with 12 or fewer years of experience, White leads all divisions with 498 career victories. White's excellence was recognized with four MIAA Coach of the Year awards (2017, 2019, 2023, 2025) and NFCA Division II Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2023 and 2025. His teams dominated conference play with a 232-57 record and captured nine MIAA championships, including four conference tournament titles. Over 12 seasons, White led the Bronchos to 10 NCAA Division II Tournament appearances including four trips to the Super Regionals and advanced to the World Series twice in the past three seasons (2023, 2025). The 2023 campaign marked a pinnacle for White's tenure as UCO posted a school-record 54 wins and made its first World Series appearance since 2013, finishing ranked fourth in the nation.
