Biography

Giuliana Portolesi was brought on as an assistant coach by Jessica Drummond in May 2025. She will oversee the Ducks' goalkeepers and assist with recruiting. Portolesi comes to Oregon after spending the 2025 season as an administrative assistant for William Jewell women's lacrosse. She was responsible for analyzing defensive strategies, offensive sets, transition ability and draw controls throughout the season, helping guide the Cardinals to a 7-10 record in just their second year of competition. She also assisted in goalkeeper training, overseeing a unit that averaged 8.33 saves per game. A native of Spokane, Wash., Portolesi earned her Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences from Queens University in 2025. While completeing her degree, Portolesi spent two seasons on the lacrosse team, playing in one game and recording two saves against Clemson. She began her collegiate career at Onondaga Community College, where she was named a 2023 NJCAA all-American after leading the natio
