Biography

Now in his second season with the Oregon Soccer program, Chris King was promoted to associate head coach in February of 2026. He was an assistant under head coach Tracy Joyner for three seasons at UC Davis and helped build the Aggies into one of the top programs in the Big West Conference. In his first season at Oregon, 2025, the Ducks put forth one of the best defensive efforts in program history. Oregon yielded just 21 goals - tied for the fifth-best mark overall and tied for the third best in the modern era (excluding a Covid-shortened season). Though the team's record was 3-10-5, 14 of the 18 matches were decided by one goal or ended in a tie. The highlight of the season was Oregon's 2-1 upset of No. 8 Washington in the season finale. It was the Big Ten-champion Huskies' only loss in conference play, and it was just the third victory over a top-10 team in program history. The Aggies' record improved each of the three seasons King worked with Joyner at UC Davis, including a 13-5-2 r
