During Cummings’ first season on staff as Co-Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach in 2025, the Spiders’ offense was anchored by a rotating offensive line led by All-Patriot League selections Phillip Gray III and Scott Hummel and helped running back Aziz Foster-Powell to a breakout season. Thanks to blocking from Cummings’ line, Foster-Powell, named Second Team All-Patriot League, led the Spiders in rushing with 594 yards on 125 carries. He scored four rushing touchdowns and added a receiving touchdown to rank as Richmond’s fifth-leading scorer. The offensive line’s performance helped Richmond rank third in the Patriot League in rushing offense, averaging 147.7 yards per game, while finishing eighth in the league in yards per carry (4.54) and rushing yards per game (47.3). The line’s consistent play also supported quarterbacks Kyle Wickersham and Ashten Sensilire, helping Wickersham lead the Patriot League in completion percentage and contributing to the Spiders’ rushing production.
