University of South Florida Women's Tennis

Head coach Cristina Moros, a former national champion and four-time All-American performer at the University of Texas, believes in developing young players and helping them reach their tennis dreams. Moros has walked in the shoes of her USF athletes and has witnessed how dedication, hard work and goal-setting can produce championship results. She took the reins of the Bulls program in 2015-16 and has guided USF to an American Athletic Conference championship (2017), two conference tournament runner-up finishes, and was named the 2017 AAC Coach of the Year. She has coached 11 All-AAC performers, including three AAC Freshmen of the Year. Before coaching at USF, Moros established herself as one of the best women's tennis players in Texas history, helping the Longhorns to the 1995 national championship and earning All-America honors in all four years of eligibility. A two-time team captain and NCAA Tournament finalist in singles, she earned Big 12 Conference Co-Player of the Year honors in 1997. After graduating from Texas in 1999, Moros spent 12 years coaching at tennis academies, including the Bollettieri Tennis Academy where she coached Maria Sharapova and Jelena Jankovic as junior players. She served as associate head coach at the University of Oklahoma (2012-14) before becoming head coach at UTEP in 2015.
