Gavin Morris

Biography

Gavin Morris enters his 11th season on USC’s coaching support staff. He was named Assistant Athletic Director/Player Relations in 2019. He began at USC in 2015 as a recruiting analyst, then was high school relations coordinator in 2016 and director of player development in 2017 and 2018. From 2011 to 2014, Morris was director of player development for the B2G 7-on-7 football program. He worked in the marketing department for NASCAR in 2000, then in operations and community relations for the Atlanta Braves in 2001. He was in the banking and real estate industries from 2002 to 2010. He attended Morehouse College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2001. Morris played football at St. Monica High in Santa Monica (Calif.). He and his wife, Erin, have a son, Gavin II, and a daughter, Glynne. His uncle is former USC defensive lineman Willard “Bubba” Scott (1967-69), a member of USC’s famed 1969 “Wild Bunch” defensive line.
