As one of the winningest active coaches in college basketball, Musselman is ready for his second season with USC Men’s Basketball, bringing in one of the best transfer portal classes in the nation and some of the most elite freshmen to build this year’s roster. He took the role with the Trojans on April 5, 2024, creating a team from scratch with only one player from the previous team returning to the roster. With this new team built in the famous Portal House, Musselman and his staff were ready for their first season in the Big Ten. He led the Trojans to key victories, including a win in Galen over No. 7 Michigan State and on the road over No. 13 Illinois. Along with that, the Trojans took down Rutgers in a double-overtime thriller in the first round of the Big Ten Championships before falling in a tight contest to Purdue. USC went on to compete in the inaugural College Basketball Crown, taking down Tulane in the first round before falling to Villanova in a close 62-61 game. Andre Carrera was named the USC men's basketball director of sports performance by head men's basketball coach Eric Musselman on May 16, 2024. Carrera comes to the USC men's basketball program after serving as the strength and conditioning coach for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G-League and working with the Golden State Warriors since January of 2021. While with Santa Cruz, Carrera designed athlete-specific programs to develop strength, agility and quickness and monitored on-court practices and training sessions. He communicated daily with the performance team and the coaching staff to implement practices to ensure the best performances. He worked closely with the Golden State Warriors staff to provide a consistent and beneficial training system for the athletes which mirrored the parent club's training program. Carrera has also served as a professor of exercise science for the San Diego Community College District since December of 2017. Carrera was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Charlotte Hornets in 2019 and 2020. He served in the same capacity with the New York Knicks for the 2018-19 season. During the 2017-18 season, he served as the director of strength and conditioning for the West Coast Elite Under Armour. Prior to that, he was the strength and conditioning intern at Washington in the summer of 2017. Anthony Ruta is entering his second season as an assistant coach at USC after being hired by head coach Eric Musselman on May 16, 2024. He brings over a decade of coaching experience at the collegiate and professional levels, including five seasons at Arkansas under Musselman, where he served three seasons as the Razorbacks’ director of basketball operations and later as an assistant coach. During his time at Arkansas, Ruta helped guide the Razorbacks to three consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 appearances, including back-to-back Elite Eight runs in 2021 and 2022. From 2020 to 2023, Arkansas posted an SEC-best 95 wins. His impact extended beyond team success; he was instrumental in the development of numerous standout players, including 2020 SEC Player of the Year Mason Jones, 2021 NBA lottery pick Moses Moody, and 2022 All-American JD Notae. Ruta played a key role in Arkansas’ nationally acclaimed 2022–23 freshman class, which featured three McDonald’s All-Americans: Anthony Black (No. 6 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft), Nick Smith Jr. (No. 27), and Jordan Walsh (No. 38). All three were “one-and-done” selections. In addition to coaching, Ruta was responsible for assembling Arkansas’ competitive schedules, which helped prepare the team for deep postseason runs. Caleb Cline is in his first season as USC's director of basketball operations, being named to his current position in May of 2024. He spent the 2023-24 season as the assistant director of operations at Arkansas under head coach Eric Musselman. Cline was promoted to that position after serving two seasons as a graduate assistant at Arkansas. Cline helped the Razorbacks reach the NCAA Elite 8 in both 2021 and 2022 while working with NBA lottery pick Moses Moody, All-American JD Notae and NBA draft pick Jaylin Williams. Arkansas advanced to the Sweet 16 in his third year with the Razorbacks while three players were taken in the NBA Draft – Anthony Black (1st round, 6th pick), Nick Smith Jr. (1st round, 27th pick) and Jordan Walsh (2nd round, 38th pick). A native of LeMars, Iowa, Cline played for current USC assistant coach Todd Lee at South Dakota. He graduated from USD 2020 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Sport Management with a coaching minor.

Earl Boykins, a 13-year NBA veteran and one of the most respected player development minds in college basketball, enters his first season as an assistant coach at USC. He was hired on May 30, 2025, joining head coach Eric Musselman’s staff as they head into their second season competing in the Big Ten Conference. Boykins reunites with Musselman at USC as the two share a long-standing connection that dates back to 1999 when Musselman was an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic and Boykins was just beginning his professional career. Boykins later played for him during the 2002–03 NBA season with the Golden State Warriors, when Musselman served as head coach. One of the most inspirational figures in basketball history, Boykins defied expectations at every level. Standing at 5’5, he enjoyed a successful NBA career that spanned more than a decade, playing in over 650 games with teams including the Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards. Known for his elite quickness, scoring ability, and leadership, Boykins totaled nearly 5,800 points and more than 2,000 assists during his NBA career. He also played internationally, leading Virtus Bologna to a EuroChallenge Cup championship in 2009. Heather Bell, who came to USC in January 2011, is an Assistant Athletic Director and serves as the Director of Athletic Academic Advising. Her primary responsibility is to serve as the lead administrator of the academic advising component of SAAS which includes supervision of the other 7 full-time advisors. She also oversees and coordinates academic support for the Football and Men's Basketball teams. As Director of Advising, Heather facilitates staff meetings, directs strategic planning, oversees APR submission, and manages the eligibility certification and files in SAAS. She also coordinates the guest coaches program for football and men's basketball and the department's summer aid applications and approvals. During her time at USC, in an advising capacity, she has also worked with the Women's Basketball, Women's Track/CC, Women's Volleyball, Baseball, Crew, and Lacrosse teams. Prior to USC, Heather worked at the University of Tennessee in the Thornton Athletics Student Life Center as a Sr. Academic Counselor beginning in 2007. Her main responsibilities were advising the Football team (LB, DB, WR, DE), Technology Coordinator, and creating the Summer Bridge Program. Heather began her time at Thornton as an Academic Mentor for football in 2006 while she was earning her Masters of Science in Sport Management. Jessica Isaacs, RD, CSSD, is the Sports Dietitian Manager at USC, where she oversees the nutrition programs for the men's basketball and men's and women's volleyball teams. With an extensive background working with basketball athletes at all levels, Jessica has contributed to elite programs such as Kobe Bryant's MAMBA Sports Academy, UCLA Basketball during their Men's Final Four run in 2020-2021, and spent two seasons as the Lead Sports Dietitian for the LA Clippers. Her expertise in fueling strategies, hydration, and injury recovery is instrumental in helping athletes optimize their performance and recovery. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Purdue University and has since built a distinguished career in sports nutrition. Before becoming a sports dietitian, Jessica served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft electrician and mechanic on C-17 aircrafts. As a former rugby player, her diverse background in both military service and competitive sports informs her approach to performance nutrition, making her a valuable resource for the athletes she works with daily.

He was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer, Men’s Basketball in August of 2015. He began working at USC in 2008 and has served as the Trojans' athletic trainer for track and field (2008-11) and baseball (2011-13). Yonamine previously worked as an assistant athletic trainer at UC Irvine. While at UC Irvine, he worked with various teams including men's basketball, baseball, and the men's and women's golf teams. Prior to graduate school, he had internships with the New York Jets and Anaheim Ducks. He is a graduate of UC Irvine in 2000 and earned a master's in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay in 2005 while working as a graduate assistant at Cal. He and his wife, Jennifer, have four children, a son Devin, a daughter Jordyn and twin daughters Brooklyn and Kamdyn.

Lindsay Jaffe is the Senior Associate Athletic Director – Sport Administration at USC Athletics, where she provides leadership and oversight for 11 teams, including men's basketball baseball, lacrosse, soccer, cross country, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's track & field, and men's water polo. Jaffe plays a key role in goal setting, scheduling, performance management, and budget planning to drive competitive excellence. In her time as a sport administrator, USC has won three national championships, including Women's Track & Field (2021), Women's Water Polo (2021), and Men's Indoor Track & Field (2025), as well as USC's first Big Ten title (Women's Soccer, 2024). Since her arrival at USC, Jaffe has helped lead national searches for head coaches in multiple sports, including baseball, women's cross country, men's and women's track & field, men's and women's swimming & diving, and women's soccer, while assisting the Director of Athletics in contract negotiations. She helped develop USC's sport administrator manual and implemented the annual Competitive Excellence analysis to evaluate recruiting, student-athlete development, and program performance. Michael Musselman enters his second season as an assistant coach at USC during the 2025-26, helping to guide the Trojans during their first season in the Big Ten Conference. Before arriving in Los Angeles, Musselman was on the staff for five seasons at the University of Arkansas, working his way up to becoming an assistant coach in the 2023-24 season. He started with the Razorbacks as the director of recruiting in 2019-20, before being named the assistant director of basketball operations for the 2020-21 season. He was eventually promoted to the director of operations for the 2022-23 season. While advancing through the ranks, Musselman played a crucial role in recruiting for the Razorbacks, helping the coaching staff secure the second-best recruiting class in the country in 2022. This class was highlighted by six players ranked among the ESPN and SI.com Top 100, including three McDonald’s All-Americans in Nick Smith Jr., Jordan Walsh and Anthony Black. Those three were all selected in the Top 40 of the 2023 NBA Draft. Arkansas was one of two college programs to have three players selected in the 2023 NBA Draft and the only one with two or more players selected in the Top 40.
