Abby Goodwin was named the assistant women’s rowing coach at the University of Toledo in August of 2025. Goodwin previously served as assistant rowing coach at Saline High School in Saline, Mich. She has also coached at the Ann Arbor Rowing Club and the Washtenaw Rowing Club Canadian Henley Camp. A native of Whitehouse, Ohio, Goodwin attended Anthony Wayne High School. She graduated with a degree in marketing from Eastern Michigan in 2024, spending four years as the coxswain for the Eagles’ rowing team.

Can, who joined the Ohio State Women’s Varsity Rowing team as a walk-on, earned a degree in animal sciences and a minor in outreach education. She joined Dublin Crew as an assistant while still in college before accepting an assistant position with Upper Arlington Crew, where she acted as the primary coach for lightweight and 2V boats. She served as the primary coach for the Olentangy Rowing Club varsity men’s team from 2022-24.

Carrie Schonter-Cherry has served as the director of operations-Olympic sports and business administrator at The University of Toledo since 2015. Prior to her appointment in the Athletic Department, Schonter-Cherry served in a variety of finance positions at UToledo from 2005-11. She left Toledo to become a purchasing card coordinator at the University of Michigan from 2011-12, and then moved on Owens Community College to serve as the Upward Bound specialist from 2012-15 before returning to the Glass City to work for the Rockets. A native of Erie, Mich., Schonter-Cherry graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1998 with a bachelor of science in telecommunications and film. She earned her masters in education from The University of Toledo in 2008. Schonter-Cherry and her husband Roy are proud owners of two Corgis named Sonny and Reacher.

Reid Bahr was named assistant athletic trainer at the University of Toledo in August of 2025. Bahr serves as the athletic trainer for the rowing program. Prior to joining the Toledo Sports Medicine Staff, Bahr spent one year completing a fellowship at the University of Michigan, working primarily with the men's and women's tennis programs. Bahr graduated with her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Adrian College in 2024. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science Pre-Athletic Training also from Adrian in 2023. Bahr is BOC certified, and a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
