Sten van Beurden

Biography

Sten van Beurden is entering his seventh season as the Utah men’s tennis associate head coach in the 2024-25 season. Van Beurden and the Utes had a historic 2022-23 season as the Utes earned their first Pac-12 Regular Season title. Utah posted a 24-6 overall record and its second consecutive NCAA Appearance. The Utes also made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 4-1 win over Old Dominion. He helped Geronimo Busleiman to a #38 ranking in the ITA singles and made an appearance in the NCAA Singles Tournament. He was integral in helping the Utes to their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019 with Dan Little becoming the first Ute to qualify for the NCAA Division I Singles Championships. Utah finished the 2018-19 season with a 17-12 overall record while garnering a top-50 national ranking and a No. 1 ranking in the ITA Mountain Region.
